Has anyone done any aftermarket upgrades to an 08 Viper yet? I was thinking of Corsa exhaust and some type of coldair intake but I am not sure if this is a waste. The exhaust on an 08 seems to be quite abit louder than the earlier one.
I drove a couple of 08 Vipers last Friday at the STE in PA...very impressive...not only power wise but seemed to handle better than the 06 & 05 models I have driven........and yes, I noticed the exhaust at WOT was definitely louder and sounded more V-8..........not sure about mods yet...check with the vendors here like HHP...
Only basic mods that I have seen thus far are long tube headers, catback and cold air. Not sure about the PM tunability side of it though. Hennessey has some stuff, however you feel about them, but RSI has the headers and catback available: http://www.racingsolutions.com/Templates/frmTemplatem7.asp?SubFolderID=0451&SearchYN=N Give RSI a call or call Hennessey.
The stock air intake system looks to be much better than previous models. I would just go with a cleanable/reusable filter (K&N) and leave the rest alone. I haven't heard one in person yet, so I don't know about the exhaust. izza:
One car magazine showed the Viper turning the quarter just 1 tenth slower than the 09 ZR1 Corvette......a tune would probably put the Viper ahead....though it is already way ahead costing $40K less than the vette...:usflag:
