I have started to notice that on 2 of my Brembo calipers that the clear coat is flaking off. Has anyone seen or heard of this problem? I always make sure the wheels are cleaned with soap only and no chemicals. Thanks in advance.
Mine too bro.....nothing we can do about it except repaint..... We gotta meet up sometime and check out each others Vortechs! So i take HOP did a good job on everything
Just got back from the dealer. They took photos and will call me later but they seem sure it will be covered under warranty. HOP did an AMAZING job Paul. I was there when you called Josh. I have had more than my fair share of wanabe mechanics and people who can flap their lips with the best of them, but HOP show results. His installs are clean and usually custom to make even cleaner. And then there is the tuning side. Each car is treated as its own. No standard tunes, no here is what i did no a similar car. Josh will even take the time to explain even the smallest details and walks you though his findings. Their rates are very fair and most of all.....they stands behind their work. Lemme know when you plan on going to HOP and ill meet ya down there.
have it on all 4 of my brembos and the car is only 15 months old and noticed it at about 8 months!i never even attempted bringing it to the stealership cause i have a gut feeling there going to deny me!
greek...... my red calipers did it as well after about 12K miles. i took to the dealer and they put on a new ones no questions asked. since i switched to the black calipers, i have had zero issues!!! my old red looked like this before they were replaced....
My Calipers are Burgandy now and the Brembo decal is brown. Car does some serious road racing, think the dealer would replace.
Well, its been almost a week since i went to the dealer and i have still not heard back. when i called on Friday (the day after i took the car in) the service manager said that they had to send photos (that he took with his blackberry) to corporate to see if this is normal wear and tear and if it would be covered. The car as 21K miles on it and is not raced at a track nor subjected to harsh braking. How and this possibly be normal?? If the paint was peeling off the hood, would i have to jump through the same hoops??
So i just got back from the dealer....AGAIN. This time the regional manger came to see the car again. He took some more cell phone photos and will send them to the SRT division and see what they have to say. The fact that this has only effected 2 of the calipers, they are saying that its not cut and dry warranty. They say they will get back to my by weeks end with their decision. Un freekin believable! Can you guys PLEASE post some photos of your calipers. I need some amo as Chrysler are saying that they have NEVER seen or heard of this before. WTF!
