Out of curiosity I did a little research on the above mentioned car... To say that it is impressive is a drastic understatement. I don't have the various links on hand, but we're talking a car, that when equipped with the dual clutch transmission, that can run the 1/4 in 12.6 at like 113 mph and out handle and beat a Porsche 911 Carrera S at the Nurenburg track (sp?!?!). Not to mention the well appointed and crafted interior... Sure it's $60k... But for what it does and the amenities it offers, it's almost a bargain... Not to mention the build quality of the M cars and a somewhat useable rear seat. Of course for most of you/us, value hp more than anything, so the intangibles may not count for much but I for one appreciate the very well rounded design and abilities of this fine auto. Sure you can get a Vette cheaper, but this M3 offers a bit more IMO.
id get an m3 in a sec if i were a homo. i just find 3 series bimmers to be the flagship of the gay variety. no an m5 or m6.......a whole diff story.
my name says it all jason. I cant stand BMW's since every highschool girl fucking drives one. I do like the new 135xi that things cool. but for that price give me a used z06 any day
The new Road and Track puts it above many of the traditional supercars and seemed to be their faorite out of 8 or 10. I did hear they're an all-gay staff though. heheh. jk. It's definitely a well rounded car.
The M6 is the monster, But I'll still take the RS4. or the older RS6. M3's are killers too. Butt...... lol
I agree Jason, I kinda liked the last gen M3 (although not the owners, lol) but this new one is pretty sweet. I'm still waiting to see one on the street, don't know why I haven't yet, we always get the cool cars first around here. And couldn't agree more bout the price, look at Ford dealers still selling the standard GT500 for 60k! Uh, riiiiiiiiiiiiight, what would you rather have for 60K, an M3 or a Mustang? Hahahahaha!
Call 3 series gay or not, this is the M variety, and not too many school girls would or could drive this car! This isn't a previous generation M anything... this car's a fucking overall performance monster unlike anything BMW has put out before... the reviews I've seen praise this car OVER the M5 and M6! Mostly because of its handling and transmission... it aint AS fast, but damned close. Heck, if I had a big mod account, I'd likely put that money towards one of these puppies instead of BIG mods... I'm happy with my car as it is for the most part (a few tweaks here and there not withstanding)... wouldn't that be a nice stable?!?!
momo your car is faster than a new m3 man. I would even say I like the way your car look more than the m3 too. And as for scott I would rather have the gt500 over the m3 any day man.
You think? 12.6 is stout. I do like the way my car looks, about the same amount as the new M3... the Charger looks meaner, the M, more refined... a trade-off. I would however take the new M3 over a GT500. I owned a new generation mustang (relatively crappy interior) and other than the HP factor, the M has everything else over the GT500 IMO. Lets not forget that the GT500 has a solid rear end... handles like a tank.
You would probably like a Roush Stage 3 more It would destroy a GT500 on a track even though there's much less HP (420 i believe) but the suspension and breaks are SO much better. They are only about $40k ish too. But if you put into it the interior quality, the M3 isnt in the same class...but its not in the same price range...so it really depends. if you ask me personally? I would take a Roush Stage 3 if i couldnt have the charger, but thats just because i love mustangs.
I was just sayin bro that for 60 thousand dollars I would not buy a Mustang, I don't care how fast or special it is, it's still a Mustang with the same crappy build quality and cheap interior (my dad has an 06 GT). That being said I still really like the Shelbys and for the sticker price of 40K they're worth it, just not the 60K the dealers are apparently still getting.
That car still has a lot to prove. A year down the road or so and we should find out. But based on the 1/4 mile times, it really doesn't hand the M or AMG cars their ass. I agree with Steve, 3 series is for homos. Now the M5, that thing is badass for the money too. Rumor is a new TT V8 is in the works for the new M's or a reworked V10 with about 550hp, more F1 technology and Kinetic Energy Recovery systems.
I didn't know you owned three M3's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, Elton John would be proud of you. Nobody did, but we still had to hear from you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thongue2:
