we didnt bring a vid camera last week when we went to the track but someone taping the mustang we raced this pass did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FbxodudxWU we later went 12.18@114 and 12.3x@116 that night, thanks to RPM for finding the video on youtube
yes that was with the new intake manifolds, cai, asp pulleys, and a set of mickey thompsons, we just got a pcm tweak from inmotion and its noticably quicker then it was last week at the track, hopefully 11's this weekend
we made it out to milan dragway tonight, the weather was ideal btu rather busy at the track so we spent most of the night sitting in the staging lanes waiting for lots of track oil cleanups. apkano met up with us there tonight (thank you steve for all the help). unfortunetly the na cai we made him was sitting on our workbench as we were using it for the na cai welding jig when we did the group buy and we havent reinstalled it back onto his car yet. i didnt knwo he was goign to meet us up there until we were basically pulling into the track so we didnt get a chance to get some before/afetr runs on his car with the cai, we did get the before's now tho. i dont have his slips but i believe he did a best of mid-low 15's with just a catback on the car, im sure he wil post it up. so we got to the track, slapped on the slicks and opened up the exhaust cutout and pulled the grill, ready to rock! well, the battery on the laptop died so i wasnt able to record the datalogs on the zeitronix wideband the car takes a few passes before the pcm compensates for the exh cutouts, i would liked to have opened them up a few miles befopre the track but its too damn loud to hear them drone down the highway. first pass was a 12.12@115 versus a 12.20@117 (stage 3 slicked srt-4) cool, were off to a great start. i used an old school gtec aswell and it showed a 0-60 in 3.92sec and 1/4 in 12.15sec on that pass second pass i cut a 1.752 60ft and ran 12.10@115 gtec showed 0-60 in 3.91 and 1/4 of a 12.13 thrid pass was after sitting for an hour waiting some broken POS to get towed off the track, i tried to launch a little harder and blew the tires away and went 12.3x@114 forth run was after another track cleanup and again launched to hard to grip and ran 12.2x@115 last run after waiting another hour for another POS breakdown cleanup we went [email protected] with a 1.83 60 ft so, close but no cigar tonight, i think we can get into the 11's with this setup but its going to be barely into the 11's. time for more part designing to get us into the 11's comfortably
someone else spied us out that night at the track... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAH4d...ad.php?t=24562
Man those are some great runs. Congrats!!. There is nothing worse then being that close. Last year at sac, I ran a 12.006 at 116 and backed it right up with a 12.005 @ 115. And then they closed the track. It's enough to make a grown man cry.
Ohhh man I would have been upset for weeks. I thought I was close at 12.130 but 12.005 takes the cake. You could have farted and broke into the 11s:grin:
WOW, awesome runs man! That'll smoke a hell of a lot of cars out there. Congrats!! I'm like 45 minutes away from Milan Dragway but can't put up with this waiting in the lanes crap. So I drive about 1.5hrs to St. Thomas, ON, where you can run as many times as you want. NHRA track.
12.4? Sweet. Nice run, Rob. How much of that was from the new intake manifolds? I cant' wait to get my hands on some.
As soon as the temp drops to the 30-40's you'll be putting down even better times. Very impressive!!!
