I just received my ZEX kit and just had a few questions.

The kit came with a K&N intake with a hole for the nozzle pre drilled. Is this a good spot for the nozzle or should it be moved.

I currently have a AFE intake. Which is better K&N or AFE?

What should I do as far as the predator with timing & fuel? Anything?

    Any other recommended changes?

Definately use the AFE instead. The hole placement as shown is good

What nitrous and fuel jets do you intend to run?

And yes - the AFE is better.
And yes, that nozzle location is awesome. It allows the nitrous stream to spread out and fill the entire throttle-body opening, helping with an even mixture.

Leave the mixture on the Predator alone to start with. Run the recommended 125HP nitrous and fuel jets.

Then drop 1% fuel each pass and watch your MPH in the traps go up. Be sure to add the fuel back before driving WOT on the street without nitrous.

Otherwise, spend the money on a bunch of fuel jets. Maybe even run the 100HP fuel jet with the 125HP nitrous jet, and leave the fuel in the predator alone.

You can. But it doesn't make a ton of difference. The computer will pull the timing on the initial hit no matter what. I'd pull 4 degrees.

    Thanks Matt,

Im going to be going to morocco next weekend, interested in bring the vette over there? I was going to try to make it tomorrow to Ohio but wont be able to.

    Thanks for the help.

How about the fuel line. How do I release the fuel pressure before I remove the factory line?

Do I need to be worried about the AIT sensor at all? Will the spray cause problems with it?

Basically, yes. At most, you'll avoid about .1 seconds of detonation. The modern knock sensors pull timing amazingly quick.
You release the fuel pressure by pulling the fuel pump fuse (it's in the trunk) and starting the car. You need the tool for removing the line. (couple bucks for a plastic one at the parts store.)

I'd relocate the IAT sensor as well. I don't think you should spray past it. But I don't recall if anyone has without problem or not.

Bottom of the intake tube - close to the filter.
I actually bought a new sensor, just so I could leave the original sensor plugging the original hole. Maybe $30 give or take?

If you run into sticking points this weekend, I should be around. You've got my number. Don't be slow to call.

My IAT sensor is over 3 ft in front of my nozzles. Recently got 143 HP on a 150 shot.

And that, my friends, is why I said I didn't know for sure. If Hal's had success, I wouldn't bother moving the IAT yet. It's a bit of a headache.

Bingo. Exactly. I still have an empty box from one of my spark plugs, just so I can read off the part number for people. www.sparkplugs.com is the cheapest source I've found.
