I was at the Laborghini 'tuner' shop a couple of weeks ago (driven by the place 1000 times; never knew it existed...heh heh) and the owner had a Murciélago LP640 roadster with it's FWD system removed. He told us that lots of folks did the mod.
"pasta rocket" BAWAWA!!! LMFAO!!!! I have been looking for the chance to pull up next to either a gallardo or a Murcielago (there are several in Naples) just to hear one scream. The brand has always been a fantasy favorite of mine. Maybe I will try to get a Rolls Royce Phantom to race next time I see one....
makes sense that a 300+lbs diff would be good. especially in a car where that is 1/9 their total weight. i would just be annoyed to have wanted an awd badass ride and end up removing it and being just another rwd vehicle. rather then have a ferrari 430.
Did you see the story on this one Steve? Guy got turned down for buying an Enzo so he made his own car! The ARASH AF10...LS7 505hp:
haha, he and about 50k other folks who got the money, just no other ferraris in their garage. that ride is def slick though, you know how much she weighs? if he had it built, it must be seriously lightweight. engine + body = sub 2800lbs would make it an enzo beater.
I'm not sure, they say 0-60 3.4 seconds, top speed 204mph. 25 to be built each year for 300k. Then he has a supercharged 850hp one planned.
must be around the same weight then as the z06. same 0-60 and top speeds. thats a lot of body work to blow up the price another 230k.
The more coin at a persons disposal, the more likely they are to hang out with the "More Money Than Sense" crowd. VERY high ratio when you get in the $200+K range. The only way to come back from that would be to let me drive it. One month with the AWD on, and one month without it. Then I'd be able to give it a true assessment.
true, but there is no way its just a switch that enables awd then disables it and runs in rwd. haha, that would be cool as hell though.
I can't imagine trying to hook up that much power without the aid of AWD. Looks like there's also no sense in having first gear since the guy is through it in a nanosecond.
haha, anyone watch supercars exposed last night? i tivoed it and it had a lambo murci on the show. the dude actually got a ticket in fl for speeding. he later asked the camera how fast he could be going in second gear to get a ticket and then get threatened to be taken to jail. yeah.....60mph in first is easy to attain in that car....i think in 2nd you can hit 90.
lol yeah, I watched it...laughed when the guy returned the car and the dealer principle told him he could keep it for the weekend!
The SRT10 Vipers can hit ~65 in 1st, 2nd gear ~85, 3rd to ~130, 4th was 161 at fuel cutoff (found that one out the hard way), 5th ? -fastest I took it to was 171. I got pulled over here in Rio Rancho for 60 in a 45 while shifting into 2nd. Almost got a noise violation as well. I never heard the siren or fuzzbuster until I clutched, lol.
