Had a buddy stop over tonight....

    Please dont trust any wild animal, as it could be fine one day and contract rabies another and F you up the next. Letting them eat with your pets could easily transfer the virus to them and eventually to you. Then the coon, pets, and you are in deep shit. They are cute wild animals that should still be treated as wild animals.
    P.S. I hear they taste like chicken.....

    We have a VERY STRICT "NO TOUCHING!" rule here.
    As much as she wants to hug and pet them, it doesn't happen.

    There's no interaction between our p-dogs and any of the critters outside.

    In the years that we've had the 'outside pets', we've only had (1) case of canine distemper in an adolescent raccoon (courtesy of coyotes, we believe). No other rabies or disease incidents.

    I guess our "damage record" needs to be adjusted. We did have one event where a skunk got surprised by another creature along the backside of the house.
    In front of the A/C unit.
    While it was going full blast.
    Filled the entire house with pure skunk stink. It was dreadful.
