i've always used mobil 1 and i run C16 all the time. never had a problem.

oil is not oil, but at the same time it kinda is. if you're changing your oil every 3k like you should be then in all honesty it's probably not going to make much of a difference. if you're pushing high hp and tacking the car a lot then it's really something to consider, but for the normal person i honestly don't think it really makes that much of a difference. if you're the type that waits until 4-5k to do a oil change then you should really be using a much better oil as it will make a big difference.

$28 for AMSoil is a good price. i get 5qt jugs of mobil 1 for $20 so that's part of why i use it. if i could get the ams stuff at a decent price and it wasn't a pain i would definetly use it, it has been shown to be a very good oil. but why would i pay almost double the price (including shipping) when i don't have to? yea i know, lame excuse, but it's so much easier to just go grab a jug and do it than having to wait for an order to be shipped.....

If you really want to know how well your oil is. Send it off to blackstonelabs and they check everything out for yah... I still had loads of active additive after 3,015 miles. Going to change it at 4k this time around and send it in. I am running 0w-40 Mobil 1. Is a european formula and more expensive. The Caliber SRT-4's come stock with it and so do some of the newer SRT vehicles. Thepowertowinperformance recommends it also. Its a great oil for cold and hot weather. You guys should try it out.

Keep an eye out for the Mobil 1 special at your local Autozone. They are doing 5 quarts of ANY Mobil One oil and a Mobil 1 filter for $29.95. Save over $15.

im using cheap advance oil.....but then again my motor only has a couple thousand miles on it getting broken in lol, i was using royal purple before but i heard from a reliable source that they tend to eat away at turbo seals. so my next oil brand of choice will be amsoil, we'll see how that one works out

Mine just hit 55k and she is still running strong. THanks everyone for all your info. I decided to just stay with the AMSoil cause i get it for so cheap and i DON"T have to order it, just take a 10min drive to my buddies shop. Plus my car feels better.
Thanks again everyone for all your input and your knowledge.
