Well, the girlfriend saw that I was hurt with the damage I got on the car, and bought me the Mothers Clay Bar kit and the Deep Crystal Polish for my Car, so I can get to work and try and clean it up.

Needless to say, my car has been filthy and I wanted to show the before and after and also compare Wax vs Claybar/Polish/Wax and see how big a difference it makes.

So here are the Pics of the car dirty as all hell

Here is the car after washing it, still wet. I used Eagle One Nanowax Car Shampoo to wash it

Here is the picture of the damage with it cleaned up, i dont think it can be buffed anymore

And here is what I am using to clean up the car tonight :)

I will keep you folks updated WITH PICTURES while I go through the steps and process. I will also take pictures of the damaged area after I clay bar it, polish and wax it, to see if it cleans up any.

Stay tuned! I will be up all night doing this car :)

Har Har Har! You said a day, it took like 3 :)

Here is an update on the detail so far. Just finished clay barring the car and man is it smooth now, I found a lot of rough spots on the hood, roof, and hatch, everything else was quite clean. The damage on the bumper looks confusing to me. It almost looks like the car was backed into something and didnt LAND on a curb. It just doesnt add up...i am beginning to wonder if it was already there...

Here are some pictures so far...

That is beyond any polish or paint correction process If you had some I would suggest using an orbital polisher with wool pad and extreme cut (if you have a Porter Cable set it on 5) spraying detail spray to reduce heat. Follow up with Orange pad on the Porter Cable with extreme cut but looks like you need a body shop for that oen

Well just finished polishing...and yes i was goofy around and taking extra breaks, so thats why it took a bit long. Plus the Deep Crystal Polish is the HARDEST polish to get off of a vehicle, but MAN does it work well with DARK paint :)

The Scratch, seems to be cleaning up a bit, but yes, it needs to be taken to a body shop, and I actually have a good friend who owns a body shop, who did my parents vehicle, and does GREAT work. I will have to call him tomorrow to get an estimate and all.

But here are the pictures, and you can tell the paint is beginning to get a nice deep luster in it...wet black paint appeal :)

Yes I know I missed some spots when buffing...my arms are noodles with this polish

Now on to waxing and then doing all trim :)

That's a nasty set of scratches but the car looks great otherwise! Hey, if you get too bored, I can always bring the wife's truck over for a detail, lol! It looks like we took an interior tour of a diarrhea-laden colon from us driving around in the weather we had yesterday...

Well I just finished waxing, and am i damn pleased with the results!

The depth and shine of the car is amazing! You can see the flake in the paint no problems now!

Tomorrow, I will finish with the trim, tires, fender wells, engine bay, and then the interior (which is pretty dirtied up too)

I am off to take a shower, and then get some sleep! Thanks for watching another episode of Goober Auto's...
