WOW, your price gouging was short lived. lol

Actually, the average price of gas is 3.23 a gallon here.

The above pricing is from a few stores here in ABQ. One of the stores is one that I managed years ago. haha

Hahahha, don't I know it! Actually I've been giving big oil a break lately since oil shot up the last few weeks but gas really didn't, it stayed even and actually dropped a bit. But this, at $87/barrel we should be well into the 2s yet we're still in the mid to upper 3s, it's bs.

Well at least our milk is less expensive out here. I just checked with the missus and the last gal she bought at Safeway yesterday was $4.29 gal. (here's where Ron goes mental, lol)

$87 a barrell is over $2.07 a gallon for crude oil (not turned into gasoline yet, just crude oil not even shipped to a refinery yet). What are your state taxes? (or better question, what will they be after Obama is in office?) Oh yeah, gotta get the crude to a refinery, turn it into gasoline, ship it all over the country. I know, refineries are cheap to build an run and pipeline and truck transportation is really cheap too. Start an oil company if you think that they are getting rich. In fact, I have a few small oil distributors here in Ohio just waiting for you to buy them (I'll give you a little warning though, it may be the worst return on capital employed business on earth - big or little oil that is.)

People should bitch about getting their taxes lowered not about the cost of gas. Or, figure out how to get a combustion engine to run on milk - oh wait, that would be more expensive than gas. Milk refineries must really cost a lot to build.

Yeah, we have oil tycoons in Ohio!!! I'm just happy that i paid $2.79 for gas. As far as the milk goes I can suck it from the cows teets if it goes up too much, its definately whole milk at that point. As long as I find female cows its all good. People won't be happt until gas is under a dollar, even though its not 1989 anymore.

Not bashing the oil companies. But if that is the case, why are we hearing about all the big oil companies turning in record billion $$$ profits every quarter for the last few years?

Because their profits come from the many other divisions outside of gasoline.
