Changing oil in Vortech S/C

    Walk me through my first oil change on the unit please =)

    Its so easy, I did it.

    Unscrew both allen-wrench screws on your head unit. One is a fill hole, the other a dipstick.

    Locate and loosen drain tube bolt at end of drain line (have 8+oz cup/bowl/pail ready). On LX's, you have to loosen/remove plastic shields under front end.

    *Side note: you'll need a socket and a wrench to loosen.

    Let drain. Tighten bolt back up. Refill head unit. Test level using dipstick. Retighten allen-wrench screws.

    Go have more fun!

    Damn Jason....apparantly changign the S/C oil is easier than putting air in the tires! LOL

    Ha-Fucking-Ha! LMAO!!! Yeah, I gotta change motor oil soon... like this weekend... I need more tools and such. RAMPS! I want ramps! Fucking jackstands are a PIA.

    Dumb questions but where is the drain tube so I can drain it i know the left allen screw is the dipstick and the right one is the oil if I remember correctly from the install but the drain tube is eluding me. Thanks.

    The should have dropped your drain tube near the oil drain plug. I had to remove my lower belly pan to see mine. Ryans was zip tied to his lower radiator hose.

    I didn't have to remove the plastic guard on the underside.
