I know a couple of you have done it and posted up info but LX is down and I'd like to get it somewhere else just in case.
I'm in process of doing a SC on my car so I need to dig up all the info including a how to on the Walbro portion.
    Thanks!

I think it depends on how you want to do it.

I've done 4, 2 pump in tank setups on the trucks.

If you have room to have a 90* fitting on top of the tank that is the best way then you can run larger line to the front. You can also return it right next to the feed line. Delete the factory regulator, it gives you more freedom to adjust pressure with boost reference regulator.

It's best to run larger dedicated power lines to the 2 pumps.

You can also "make" 2 pumps fit inside the factory basket. Not the easyiest move. But can be done.

It would be nice if a vendor would come up with ready to go fuel upgrade setup for the LX's. Maybe have the ugraded pumps aleady installed into the fuel tank etc..... We keep hearing of this magical drop in fuel pump but I have yet to see anyone actually have one operating.

Why don't people just use the Boost-a-pump? It's proven. It works. It's simple. It's reliable. It's (relatively) cheap).

Perhaps. But I haven't seen anyone surpass those limits yet. (Maybe 3-4 guys tops). For most people, it's an easy solution, no?

Ya, probably but there still needs to be a solution available. There are dozens of builds in progress that could benefit from a bigger fuel pump.

How many 426's with blowers and nitrous are being built right now, lol. Anyway, it would be nice to have an easy upgrade.

Well seems Im not the only one interested, lol. I just find it crazy that after 3 years there hasnt really been a fuel system upgrade besides the boost a pump. Dont get me wrong, I know the boost a pump works fine and would probably be all Id need, but Id rather go with a fuel system that is designed to run X psi etc...

Ive also been told that the boost a pump isnt the easiest thing to tune at higher HP applications.

I just think an in tank pump solution is better, easier and more reliable than a boost-a-pump scenario. Why add additional electronics for no reason.
Again I'm late in the game for LX cars but it was a walk in the park on my Impala.

Well I don't know about that. Anthony (Udluuz) hit 832rwhp S/C and N2O and all he has is an MSD boost a pump.

I don't think Steve had that much of an issue tuning it?

Check with Hemi31, he bought a Walbro from us for his Maggie before he sold it, I assume he got it installed before he sold it, maybe he could shed some light on the install process.

Well I doubt anyone including Steve would say that all UDLUUZ needs is a boost a pump. But maybe Im way off. And the hard to tune comment was from a CMR tuner so I can only go by what they say.

He did not install it and HemiC was actually working on it today. From what Chris said today, the pump was not going to work without major mods.

lol I am not saying that is all he needs, but that IS what he is using and has no issues.

But I agree with you, an upgraded fuel delivery system is certainly the better way to go, but the Boost A Pump, as JMatt suggested, is doable and proven.

And like you, I would have NO WAY of knowing how difficult it is to tune. lol Only those who are great at tuning would know...

I was running the BAP before I sold the car and was seeing injector pulse widths 10k ms over the agreed safe area......now for the Walbro.......It's not a straight drop in and no one has one currently working on an LX without some sort of issue......the dual tank pickup is a PITA.So without running an external fuel system the BAP and a larger fuel line are the next best.......But I bet we start seeing injector failures on the higher hp cars with a BAP.
