Has anyone seen this hood? It looks wicked on a Charger and is done by TommyZ. It does look really hot on a Charger. Makes it look just like a Chally from the front. LXforums has a link going also but pics are not as easy to find. Sorry about the link but it is shown the best here.... http://www.chargerforumz.com/showthread.php?t=66005
again...i dont think it looks BAD....it just doesnt DEW it for me.... maybe if it was coweled with a functional hood scoop feeding the intake i'd feel better about it
stay faaaaaaaar away from this product and the vendor it is coming from....... tommy is a very nice guy, but you do not stand a chance of ever seeing this hood in real life!!!!
what do you want the first one or something LOL!!!!! just yankin your crank buddy.... or is it pulling your chain? whatever HAHA
oh no, i do not want the hood....matter of fact, i really do not like it, but i just wanted to make sure no one on this forum falls "victim" of tommy's charm and puts forth money on something that will never come to market!!!
hahaha just messin with ya my brotha!! :thongue2: i dont think anyone is really drooling over this hood lol
There is a problemn with Tommy.....no doubt. Juts read the LX Forums info. But I believe it was because he ran his mouth before he had them in stock and it took a while to get them done. First hoods shipped were not packaged very well, but it looks good and youc an get it with functional ram air.
I currently have the first TZ Challenger/Charger hood in my shop. Overall the quality isn't terrible in comparision to other fiberglass hoods but it did need alot of sanding and some filling to make it straight. It literally is a direct copy of the challenger hood however.
and how long did it take to get???? hahahahahaha i bet even you had to wait earnie!!! lol oh....... well seeing as i don't LIVE on the forum like some people i know *cough* steve *cough*...... i must have missed it!!!
Yeah it took something like 8 months from when Fred first saw it. I can't say that I am crazy about the look but I'm trying to keep my opinion out of it. Heres some pics of the prep involved. The phot withthe black on the hood shows the his and lows of the glass. I did alot of blocking and some filling before I primered the hood If it gives you any confort Steve I don't have much going on besides work and these cars either.
The Chally/Charger hoods will be shipping soon....these just came out of the mold and will soon be on there way out the door. I should have mine in a week or so. Going to paint it just like this rendering is.
