SLP has decided to use the "Firehawk" logo on something other than a Firebird. They plan to put it on a 4-door sedan, the Pontiac G8. They will also offer a six-cylinder version. http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=989909 Thoughts? Keep this constructive, you guys are apparently the income/age demographic they are shooting for. Thanks.
When it comes time to get a new ride, if I still need the utility of a sedan and have to stay in a reasonable budget, my brand loyalty might go out the window. If I'm "Joe average" demographic, which I think I am, the same could probably be said of many in my position. So, all objective but...the best driving, best quality, best driving and fastest rear drive V-8 sedan I can find will top of the list (again, with all elements taken into consideration, including the fact that I can't imagine myself in a new V-8 Hyundai, or an uber-costly import like BMW or Mercedes...although a gently used S4 would be pretty sweet). Ummm, did I miss the point of this thread? lol
Not tooooooo bad looking I guess.... but I think the Firehawk logo should stay on the Firebird. Just rename it to suit the car.
the G8's look better in person i think.... i dont have any strong feelings about the use of "Firehawk" other than this is probably not the right car to use it on...maybe if pontiac came back out with the trans am or something...
The G8 just doesn't do anything for me...the SRT8 Charger looks soooo much better and is more aggressive looking. I've owned a Firehawk for 10 years and recently sold it less than 2 years ago. I'm not thrilled with SLP putting the Firehawk signature on a G8. That should be saved for another Firebird if it ever gets produced again IMO.
