Not happy! Anybody out there have a motor mount for the 6.1? I'm not sure if they're the same as each other or the 5.7, but it's from the driver's side. Thanks for any help. Did I say I'm not happy?
It's pretty common. And most guys don't realize it because of how it's designed. There is a safety hoop that retains the upper and lower portion in the event the rubber mounts seperates. Here, take a look. http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=109669&highlight=motor+mounts
Well at least this time I didn't have to use a rusty saw and my garage wasn't on fire, so I could take my sweet time.
I appreciate the offer, but I'd be happy to buy them. I'll let you use my fedex account. Let's PM on a price. Also, I'm assuming this won't include the new hardware.
Excessive movement and when it pulled away from my drivers side intake tube. When I built that system, I allowed for more then enough side to side movement of the motor. It seems when ya bust a mount, it moves a tad more then normal
ASS??..........................well ya Anyhow, if you want to see if you have a broken one. Jack up one side of the motor and look for the seperation of the rubber. In that thread I did, you'll see what I'm talking about. ASS??................................ :bye:
You got to jack up the motor and look at the motor mounts? How about something like "a loud thumping noise of something hitting the bottom of the hood when you juice it" or something like that. anything?
Diagnosis: I felt a sort of slip feeling in the driveline when launching hard. Turns out that "slip" was the engine lifting up off the mount. I lifted the hood - put it in drive while holding the brake and gave it a little gas. I could clearly see the engine lifting up and away form the driver's side. Put in reverse and it was rock steady (passenger's side is ok). Ted from MPSC is telling me the 2 sides are the same. I'm having him reconfirm for me. He does have a great price and I can get just one.
Any vibration in the pedal at idle? I have this nagging vibration in the pedal at idle. I know that its driveline related, but just haven't been able to isolate it.
I don't do any more or less hot rodding than any of you. Just a thing. Nope. My Tahoe vibrates when the A/C is on.
