Made an a** out of myself!

well last night I finally met a fellow caliber owner, who was kind enough to speak with me for a few minutes about the calibers, and how nice they are and whatnot, asked about the turbo pickup and so on and then we drove off. well I decided to show off a little bit and gun it down the two lane road we were on.... AND MISSED 3 GEARS IN A ROW. yes, 3. I've been on vaca for a while and just got back and washed up the caliber and took her for her first drive, and did this. I was so embarrassed I just shut her down and cruised with my head hung. lol anyway, I just figured I'd share my lovely misdeeds with everyone oh and the wife made fun of me the whole way home, after she yelled at me for driving like an "a-hole" hahahaha

 

Well good you deserved it...screwing up in front of the Mrs like that.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

 

Well at least you are Man enough to admit it and share. No worries brotha, I miss 3rd in the wifes SRT10 Truck all the time. haha

Needless to say, I don't try and show off in her truck anymore.

Shit happens bro. I used to miss 3rd in my turbo Shelby back in the day like it was going out of style. Hated fixing synchros.

 

Yeah don't sweat it bro. I have missed 3rd so many times in this car. Be it going down the track or just on the street. Something about this car 3rd when your rough with it... she just doesn't seem to like it you know.

On a side note I have noticed issues with putting it gear in general sometimes, even first. I have had to stop, shut the car off, go through each gear with the ignition off, put it in first, start the car and then go. This has happened to me twice. Anyone else run into this?

no worries!! at least you admit to it. I started missing gears in Autocrossing around 75K mi because of my clutch fork was showing signs of age. i had trouble putting it into gear when stopped. I replaced everything at 85K and cars rolling smooth now at 90.5k

LOL I've only missed 3rd two times in the CSRT, the tranny is so buttery smooth compared to the NSRT. You must have really been trying to bang those gears LOL.

 

I miss 3rd all the time in my charger, I know.. I'm a piece of shit.

Sometimes I'm my own DD, reverse is an option on the column too.. I think I did that in my GTP Grand Prix. I used to stop for a couple of Brewtus's at AppleBees when I would go grocery shopping.

Of course the wife was in the car so that sort of nix's that idea. Oh well, it happens.

mwaaahahaha I missed 3rd 4th AND 5th. lol not really missed but though I had them in gear and just hear vrrrrRRRRRoom!!!!!!! and nothing. lol. the tranny in mine is buttery smooth but I'm so used to the crappy cobalt tranny that I think it's in and it's not lol. ( I KNOW I'm gonna hear it about that line hahaha )

lol there was MUCH shame. and of course the wife thoroughly enjoyed SHATTERING any hopes of a decent comeback I might make.
