Has anyone taken a pair of stock 6.1 heads and had them milled? No other work done to the heads, just having them milled and put back on a 6.1 engine. I understand that the compression on a 6.1 is already 10.3 to 1 and milling will raise the stock compression a bit but how much? Just doing some research. And please I am just inquiring about milling the heads; nothing else. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Steve. Just looking for a compression bump. Maybe not .030; let's say .015. Checking to see if some of the old muscle car tricks will work on these cars.

sounds like something I would do......

With the old 5.0.......tricking them like that, I would put the appropriate shims under the rocker pedastals.

With the Hemi, ...not sure how you would compensate.

I also say.....if you pull the heads slap in an Inertia cam.

Got a cam in it already; a PPP Road Warrior. Just trying to find a few more horses the old school way.

Nitrous is off the table. I don't want to run any on this car. Just my preference. Car rarely sees the track so I am just looking for a few extra horses here and there at this point.
