I emailed one of the venders for a price quote for the system and install and he replied that for a complete system it could run between $3500-$4000 WTF!!!! I thought a Zex kit was like $600 bucks and the install was another $500. Am i missing something????

what kind of kit is he putting together, 1 or 2 stage? does it come with its own fuel supply system and bottle opens and heaters? you are asking a vag question. most kits are basic, they work but will be better with all the extras.

    Mine was about that.

ZEX is a basic kit. There is alot of labor to do one right. Most DIY aren't.

    Here's the email :
A fully optioned nitrous kit is between $3500 and $4000 installed. Please keep in mind this kit will have every possible option (pressure sensitive bottle heater, remote bottle opener, bottle blanket, custom Injected switch panel, double safety with micro switch and RPM window switch, wired and loomed like OEM harness with weather tight connectors). Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

For what its worth depending on the brand ,you have over 1500.00 just in parts right there.IMO if your going to just use the N20 kit on the street and hit the track every
once in a while, alot of the stuff on that list is over kill.

Exactly!!! I dont drag at all, but i do run on the highway every once in a blue and wanted the extra boost in 3rd and 4th gear against the M's and AMG's.
I do top end runs and wanted to know how well does Nos work on the top end?

Go with the ZEX kit, installed mine was less than half of what you were quoted. If you run on the highway, definitely get the remote bottle opener so you can open and close the bottle without having the bottle open all the time.

The 125 shot makes the jeep feel like a missle!
Got me a 11.8 @ 112 and probably could of done better because each run I kept dropping a tenth due to installing the tune at the track and the computer learning but the track closed on my 11.8 run, all done with 1.5 full bottles of Nitrous and a Half tank of gas and no Window Switch /FJO controller......probably a 11.5-11.4 with good race weight and a progressive controller.

For a ZEX kit and what your looking for it can definitely be bought for cheaper.

    ZEX Kit: 589 w/ free shipping - http://www.bmcspeedshop.com/product_p/zex 82177.htm?Click=439
    Racers Kit: http://www.bmcspeedshop.com/product_p/cca-82001.htm?Click=439
    Colder Spark Plugs: http://www.bmcspeedshop.com/product_p/ngk-2314.htm?Click=439

We can also get you a remote bottle opener: http://www.bmcspeedshop.com/product_p/cca-82009.htm?Click=439

Now, the bare minimum that you would need is the plugs and the ZEX kit. Some tracks require a blow down tube and purge kit, so getting the racer's kit is a good add-on.
