I just had my car washed and waxed. For one reason or another I got a bottle of each of the mentioned detailing spray. They are advertised as quick details between washes. My question is, are they safe for the wax or will they strip the wax? Eagle One Wipe and Shine states it wipes away wax residue, does this also mean it's strong enough to wipe the wax away? I don't want to wipe the wax away after I just cleaned it but a quick detail spray would be nice. It kind of defeats the purpose of quick detailing if it takes the wax with it right?
To be honest, any amount of extended wiping will remove wax... whether or not the spray accelerates that process is beyond me! HOWEVER... Get Meguiars ULTIMATE detail spray and use in conjunction with their top of the line synthetic wax (forget the name at the moment)... those two COMPLIMENT one another and the detail spray will NOT accelerate the wax-removal process. *That ULTIMATE spray is a SRT/C favorite, btw.
By the way, I saw Megs Ultimate QD spray at Target for $5 and change yesterday. Its usually $8-9 at other stores.
I use Eagle One Wax-As-You dry and it works awesome....it def extends the amount of time between Wax Jobs- Great product- would recommend it to anyone.
They won't wipe away the wax to any extent. The residue they're talking about is the white residue left in crevices when you wipe the wax off after it dries. I don't really like the idea of using those things "between washes" because you're probably going to have dust on the car. It's certainly better than wiping it dry though. Those are good for finishing immediately after waxing or washing. After waxing to deepen the gloss. After washing to restore that just waxed look. Good for removing kids finger prints from the door handles when the car is still clean, errant water spots, as a lubricant for clay barring, etc.
