This is why we should resist the urge...which I have been guilty of....This guy's brother ownes a 2006 SuperBee...he was the one that welded in mids and removed the O2 sensors...........I have also been told the person in the Corvette was the Mustang driver's dad...not sure....but knowing the family I dont doubt it.. http://www.timesnews.net/article.php?id=9008139 ..
I say it every time i see one of these stories....and will keep saying it.... THATS WHY THERE ARE RACE TRACKS!!!!!!!!! Keep it safe and KEEP IT ON THE TRACK!!!!!!!!
That Mustang is trashed...I hope the driver made it out alive. These stories are part of the reason why I keep my fun confined to the track.
Track track track track track track track... If it was the father racing him, I don't think any punishment will top what he's going through right now... hope the guy lives to learn from this. Also hope the owners of the parked cars have good insurance.
I hope all end up OK. I'm guilty of having done this... but... how fast do you have to go to get airborn, flip and bounce off 5 other cars?!?! In actual 'races' I've been in, I don't recall hitting over 80 and NEVER turning during the acceleration - straight line only- , not that its an excuse, but there's irrational then INSANE IRRATIONAL.
As un-PC as it sounds, I have to agree. Dumb folks take what should be a little sprint and make it into something dangerous. I've had several people keep going long after I let off and do crazy stuff up ahead.
Thats Just Bad !!! Hope they recover and learned a lesson. Dude was ejected, So No seat-belts either, WTF
Last I heard this guy has some serious injuries....he wasnt wearing a seat belt and was ejected.....preliminary speed estimates are 130mph+....
so they were racing on a road and ended up in a parking lot??? good think i stick to parking lot races only. damn soccer moms are hella fast though, those damn minivans got some torque down now and front wheel drive.....no tire spin.
Dam that sux hope the dude is ok. I always tell myself the same thing but i admit I still do it alot. Makes me think about my family when i see stuff like this and bonehead me can't resist EVER... Only time i can is when my baby girl is in the car wit me but i am trying....seriously.....I will learn one day and a jail cell really didn't teach me much and if i don't learn i will just go visit my dad and my brother and my baby brother and........
You play you pay. I only feel sorry for the people that could have been affeted by this NOT THE DRIVER.
Just think of this way....if this had happened to you then you would wish that you could go back to the start of the race and not do it....well..everytime you start to race you are back at the start..and have a 2nd chance....
"A LOT"? Mario, look up street racing in the dictionary and it will say, "See Mario"... lol Just kidding all.
