Emergency Brake Mod

Has anyone converted there 2006 Charger emergency brake release handle to the 2007 emergency foot brake release? Can this be done?

As you can see the new black panel from a 2007 Super Bee has no provisions for the release pull handle. So hopefully I can convert the foot brake to the newer style release.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

ken - if it was me, i would not change the style of e brake release, just relocate the release pull mechanism. i personally do not like the new e brake release method of having to press the pedal all the way down to release....... at least now if i accidently hit the emer pedal and make the light go on while driving, i can easily just pull the handle and it goes away...... newer cars have to stop in order to press the pedal allllll the way down to reset it. try taking the pull handle from the hood release and set up a similar handle for the e brake. just a thought...... would keep that black panel smooth and uncluttered like it is now. good luck

Today I finished up installing all the dark slate interior trim pieces. I ended up replacing the e-brake with the newer style (foot release). Three of the four door panels should be in within the next 4 days, with the fourth one coming in about two weeks from Dodge's vendor.
