I just got home after the trek to PPP where I picked up my car. It was a long wait but worth it! Build consisted of CIS turbo, forged 392 short block, heads, cam, intake, Quaif LDS, and 1000hp half shafts. The motor is 8.8 compression.
The car is a beast, on the street boost comes in so quick it’s almost a nuisance. As you can see its a complete torque monster, I would have liked a little more hp but I can't complain, after all, aside from the initial spike were not even running double digits of boost and there is plenty left on the table so more HP and lots more Torque is available should the need arise. On the street we were seeing a couple extra lbs of boost so I can only imagine what kind of stump pulling torque it’s producing then. I turned down the boost for the drive home and the car still gets frisky under almost any acceleration sprint in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear.
On a side note, after getting their after some delays I have to say that Jeremy, Tim and everyone else were awesome! Everyone went above and beyond to get things wrapped up, we were their till 9 installing a Wide Band AF Gauge and applying some tuning tweaks! I think I pissed off some wives, sorry again guys!

Thanks again jeremy, I truly appreciate the extra effort you put in.
    Sincerely,
    IrishChamp

A QUICK QUESTION FOR OTHER BOOSTED GUYS:
    1. Anyone had their car miss a gear? A few times now when I'm under descent boost but not at WOT my car will shift, hit the next gear and fall into neutral, no limp mode, no lights just missing the shift. PPP has a tweak they are going to make that might help prevent this from happening but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had the same thing happen. this has also happened when I'm at WOT but then don't commit to the entire brain crushing acceleration burst and let off right before the shift. It seems to me that the car is anticipating a faster shift than what happens closing before the shift is complete. I don't believe I've ever had it happen when I keep the throttle WOT through the shift.

    EDIT: PICTURES ADDED!

    Congrats.

And yes, I used to get the dreaded shift limp. haha

The only fix I know of is to lower your rev limit and shift points. That is what I had to do and never had the issue again.

I remember that with the former SRT8...after the B&G flash and PPP ported heads...had to send the PCM back to B&G to lower shift point by 200RPM and all was good....been over 2 years...:crying:

When you go into limp mode do you have to cycle the key? Do you get a error light? This is not happening at or near redline and its just going into neutral; I pull to a standstill and it pops it self back into drive and were off.
my WOT shifts are fine, at high boost the trans took its time shifting but never popped out.
I'm 90% sure my shift points are stock.

Sounds like TCM may be causing the "Limp Mode". That is the typical reset procedure. You have to slow to a stop.....well I guess you could stop as fast as safety allows.....lol
The PCM "Limp Mode" only requires you to drop RPM or upshift.

yea, I'm not sure at all here, I've not tried putting it back into gear while moving but the car revs freely, rolls freely, feels the same as if you were to pump it into N. we will see if it happens anymore, I've not had any problems in two days I think. I am also going to have them add back a little bit of torque management, that is what was suggested to me as something that would help.
when do you get it installed?
Off topic but I wanted to ask you.....do you run race fuel all the time, I think I remember you saying that a while back...I'm using water/meth spray, my fuel here sucks, only 91 octane with ethanol, I consistently got 6 KR completely stock. also, are you happy with your 9.5:1 compression, that is what I was going to do but when the pistons arrived they were 8.8:1. I'm a little bummed because I'm probably loosing a nice chunk of hp but I think it’s safer for me with the lousy fuel and high elevation. to date, I've not had any KR.
Are you currently making 596hp and 568tq at 12psi? Are you limited to the amount of additional boost you can add with the compression?

Saw your car down at PPP last week, congrats on those monster numbers.... I have experience this problem several times, not sure what the problem is but, one thing I do no is that my shift points and rev limiter were raised. So, my car is down at PPP getting some major upgrades and hopefully they will take care of that problem.

Yea, waiting on the SHR trans upgrade and the SMS supercharger but, will most likely put a stock trans back in and the RDP blower back on until the new stuff comes in, because I'm inpatient and being that I'm in Ohio I know I don't have a hole lot of nice weather to look forward too.

:thanks: Bottom end is forged w/coated pistons to reduce friction.
