Just like it says in the title, when I start the AC on a hot day, my car smells like somebody's year old gym bag. Ordinarily I drive around with the AC off and the windows down to enjoy the sound of my car (flappy bits aside), so this isn't a big deal. But now that I'm often transporting the baby around, I have to have the windows up with the AC running. I'm calling the dealer tomorrow about a filter replacement/check, just wondering if anyone else had a similar issue?

Also going to ask about that unpleasant crunch/clunk sound when I turn the AC on after start up. Guessing its a belt somewhere, as I heard similar sounds before the AC went out on my Durango. Turns out the serpentine belt was rubbing the condenser.

Feel free to post up your AC issues here.

Tam there is a TSB on that odor...basically they disinfect the system....but it will just work a while.....helps to turn off the a/c about 15 minutes before parking the car...specially if it is to sit for a few days.......you also might try spraying Lysol into the air intake (interior not motor) while the fan is running...that is basically what the TSB does...

I had this TSB done the first few months I got the car. I'm surprised you noticed it AFTER you had Maddy! LOL

My car has that smell too. I hate it. GF's always asking me if I farted or something. Guess I'll give my dealer a call and see what they say.

    Did you fart? jk :D
I've heard this about other newer cars too. Hopefully the TSB/dealer can fix it.
