I finally got a chance to my "official" testing on my favorite stretch of road in town. I consistently got 19.5 mpg on this stretch at about 70mph and with a few "downshifts".

Well, after my run today the results are in...

Wow. I got the exact same thing (23.9) when I drove over 100 miles home....but it was directly following my install and I never gave it any gas so as to let the torque converter seat properly. This was with my base CMR tune. I haven't tried a test since.

I REALLY expected to see a significant drop in fuel efficiency. IDK why...I just expected it. I DO find it more difficult to not use autostick and let her wind out more often though so I'm back to square one lol.

Quick question: my B&G custom tune is attached to 9r04. I am going to use 9r07 for the road trip. Can I switch back and forth between these two? Also, does 9r07 just happen to save gas and is a performance tune? Or is it an option within the version?

    WTF!!! [IMG]

That's how you need to explain it to the wife.

Believe me - my "normal" mpg has dropped from 15 to 13.5.

I know Diablo said the CMR tunes would not be affected. I am not sure about B&G. I do know the SRTs can go back and forth between revisions to any one you wish because the SRT Predator has not had a firmware update since its release.

The SRT8s don't have to deal with all that calid stuff so you should be able to switch back and forth. Are you sure your B&G is tied to 9r04? I'd think it should work just fine with 9r07. I didn't have any problems with my RDP tune.

9r07 is suppose to be better in shifts and mileage. The improved mileage was a bonus.

I got about 20 on the freeway Bob, but that was 85 to 90 MPH. I can't drive 55, I mean 70. LOL

Yeah it was painful. But anything in the name of science.
Plus I'm sure at least some of that has to do with the Predator vs. B&G tuning back then.
