After talking with FF2Moe and SDCarguy at a M&G last weekend, they informed that the Brembo brake pads are made by a company called Jurid which is Bendix in Europe. Quite a few guys have vetted the information as accurate on LX and 300C forums. FlyByU has purchased them and says they are the "exact" same. I paid $101 out the door including shipping after entering the part numbers at "Amazon.com". I hope this saves folks a few hundred dollars! Bendix Mkd1149 Disc Brake Pad (fronts) Bendix Mkd592A Disc Brake Pad (rears)
Not a problem "1fastsedan"...LOL. Adam, I'm looking forward to installing these, my new Invo's, and dropping the front a bit (11 threads from the bottom).
I do it! Bud seems like the coolest guy I've EVER seen on the forums! I'm sure he is one hell of a dude who wouldn't steer you wrong....just ask Greg! LOL
Great find Rick!`` What? Guess you just haven't hung around him long enough.... ask Ron what happens in bathrooms when he walks up behind you taking a leak...
Wait until Bud gets them first and certifies that they produce the prerequisite amount of dust ^H^H^H^H^H^H tests them out.
Yep...pretty much! Don't have an option. I'm sure the Invo's will be pretty much the same tire, just a couple hundred bucks more expensive! It was either leave the posi quiet brake pads on and get Toyos (cause they go hand in hand), or get the Invo's now (in stock) and get the replacement Bendix (Brembo) brake pads and retain the SRT8 badge! :mains:
Wow I guess I missed something, Invos?!?! Rick, I thought your Vreds weren't all that old, did they not last that long or did you tear them up already (lol)? Or do you just drive a whole lot of miles??? As for these pads yea please post up your thoughts after driving with them for a while.
I got 15k out of the Vreds. They still have a couple thousand miles left but I'm going on a 3-4K road trip and want good tread before I go. The Vreds are out of stock everywhere. The day before my last trip a couple months ago my brake indicator started squeaking. So, I changed them out with those "POS"iquiet brake pads that I took out after driving about 500 miles and replaced with "used" Brembos a year ago. I was just going to bite the bullet for a while with them but just couldn't take it anymore. I feel like a caveman driving with those brakes. "Mongo press brake to stop...Mongo release brake". That's about how much sensitivity they have. I'm excited about the return of my car to an all around performance level!!
I noticed JURID stamped on nmy OEM's when I had issue a while back. Thanks for posting a source on the cheep!
If I recall correctly, I have seen LXers and WKers swapping rotors so I would assume that is correct!
Bud, I wish I would've read this post before ordering. I thought I'd gotten a great deal until..... I've been reading up on everyone's experiences with the Bendix Brake Pads. I went to Advance Auto's online site and purchased the set with free shipping. $65.99 fronts + $65.99 rears. I also found a promo code online for an additional 15% off "ONLINESAVE15". And it works! $131.98 - 15% = $112.18 delivered! I was feeling pretty good until I went to Amazon.com. Same pads delivered were $93.34. Well it just pays to shop around. Hopefully this helps someone out there. If you decide to go with Advance you can also add the cabin filter for another $10.09.
I received the front Bendix (Brembo) pads today and decided to install to see what the braking would be like with Bendix fronts and Posi Quiet rears. I've been driving around for the past 6 weeks (been home for two of those weeks) with the posi quiets. After installing just the fronts they are exactly what "I" remember the OEM Brembo pads feeling like. I did the bedding in process before testing them out. Even though on the inside of the Bendix box it states "no bedding required". These pads are the real deal!
Rick: Where did you get them from? I got a full set too. Does the actual pad material look totally different than the Brembo pads to you? Where the pads that you received called Bendix TitaniumMetallicII? Mine don't look right to me but if they perform, that is all I care about. Sam
Sam - yes, they are the same pads as you've received. I just went out to double check! They do have that bluish stripe in the center of the pad....but they perform the same as the OEM's.
WTF??? You sure kept this hushed up. YOU driving around on posi-quiets?! I seem to remember some proving grounds driving in this time period too? and a little bit of drag racing against the blowers? I'm don't think (especially after 6 weeks) that you could tell if these are EXACTLY as good as the oem pads. ...and we all remember just how "scientific" the last tests were... Now I'm SURE you took your SRT8 badges off when you installed the posi-quiets right? You might want to wait before putting your SRT8 badges back on until you get official confirmation from someone inside Chrysler or Brembo that those are in fact identical to the stock pads and only differ in the branding.
