Woke up to this one morning: Luckily insuance covered eveything...including my rental for 8 days. They had to re-paint the back 1/4 panel, some of the side skirt, and some of the hatch. They also had to replace the black moulding on the roof and had to replace the back rim. I have no idea what kind of paint they used but it took a nice bite down into the base paint.... Never did catch them pricks and granted to say my car never gets parked on the street. Now here is after the repairs and a 6hr detailing job on the whole car:
That really sucks. Hope they catch them. That doesn't look like it came from a passing car. That looks like someone splattered it with a paint brush while standing there. Any nearby vandalism with the same paint?
yeah I know:future: wasn't paint balls: a)no casings on the ground and b) its water based paint...i dont think it could eat into the base paint like that. And there wasn't any dents. The paint also wasnt in consistent patterns...it looks to me like a splatter. nope...my car was the only one. And I think it was a paint bomb that some kids threw as they travelled by on a bike.... the splatter pattern started on the road and travelled up and to the left. So something hit the ground first then made a nasty mess.
Crap like that really pisses me off. Fricken stupid ass kids and the poor discipline their parents lack. Glad it is now repaired.
I really wish someone could catch a punk doing something like that. I would love to see those pictures.
its a good look on your car, tape off the windows and do the whole thing like that:thongue2:, bet you kid who did it would see it and just be like :stars:WTF? jk, glad you were covered, im pretty sure im not covered for vandalism, i tried to report a claim for my acura when the window got smashed and they bent the shifter trying to get in the CHANGE draweroh: also snapped the clasp on the centerconsole because the didnt want to just pull the freakin handle..parked right outside of work with cameras and everything... ppl are just plain stupid. all that was missing was a hat.. oh and i had to drive home with no window in the snow
