Here ya go: The original ponycar celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2004, largely standing pat as Ford readies a redesigned version for 2005. All '04 Mustangs wear commemorative anniversary badges. Mustang comes as a fastback coupe or a convertible with power top and glass rear window. ABS and traction control are optional. Base models have a 193-hp V6. Sharing versions of a 4.6-liter V8 are three models: the GT with 260 hp; the Mach 1 with 310 hp; and the SVT Cobra, which has a supercharger and 390 hp. All but the Cobra are available with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. The Cobra comes only with a 6-speed manual and is the sole Mustang with independent rear suspension; a limited number will get special Mystichrome paint that changes color depending on angle of view. An optional 40th Anniversary Package includes special trim and wheels.
yep...there was nothing special about the 40th other than some nick nacks here and there....no engine mods or anything of substance... but kewl none the less as an anniversary car
See Christian, you would have beaten him. I figured as much, Ford is gaga over "special edition" Mustangs, they're practically ALL special editions with the only thing special being a badge somewhere and a higher price. Didn't I read somewhere someone was suing Ford cause of that very thing? Hahahhaa, dummies.
what does it say? DEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR IM A JACKASS WHO CANT READ THE WINDOW STICKER AND BOUGHT AN OVER PRICED CAR THAT HAD DIFFERENT WHEELS AND A BADGE ON IT DEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR lol
HEY HEY Wait a minute I bought a 40th Aniv Mustang GT but they put them on sell to make way for the new body style so I got a great deal on mine, but yeah nothing speacial still same ol cheesy interior, noisy convertable, ran better with a diablo
i wasnt knocking the mustang...just stating that all you get from an "anniversary" package is some badges and maybe wheels but probably not lol maybe a little nicer interior lol
hahahha, seriously guys, someone is suing them. I can't remember the exact specifics but it's basically Ford has too many special edition Mustangs and that makes them not special so they're suing. Imo ... whatever. People are stupid.
