congrats andy!!!! great news to hear you guys joining forces in the lx world!!! this is the blower i will have some time in the future!!! sooooooo, i take it for a stock block/cam/heads car the canned tune that comes with the kit will be solid???? also, stock bottom ends will be reasonable under lower boost applications???
I'll take stock in the fact that I'll be getting a CMR tune and doing a tranny upgrade to really get the most out of it. I'll worry about the motor later....and then when it goes down the tubes many miles later I'll throw a 392 or 426 in her, crank up the boost and have a FRESH motor to log thousands more miles on! I can't wait!!!!
Yes, the tune provided will be fine with guys that have stock cam/heads. A little adjustment with the predator is recomended to dial in air/fuel, but thats it. Early on, all SMS blowers will come with the Predator, but soon after, you will send in your pcm and get the tune flashed into the pcm, thats right, SMS bought all the equipment and software from Chrylser and even has TCM control.
i agree...... i am very much saving pennies for this beauty, some shafts, clutch pack upgrades, etc. make the power and get it to the ground safely and reliably!!!
I cant say that they "teamed" up with Chrysler, But I can say they have what it takes to re write the entire PCM/TCM as there own, They do have many many Manufacturer relationships, stay tuned my Challenger is getting the very first 1 available and will be tuned in there facility.
I'm not calling you a liar, I seen many times where some info gets confused and that's OK, I'm sure you were told something by Saleen. What everyone should understand is that no one can buy, agree to use/have factory supported PCM/TCM flash tools. Now you have my attention when you say the "ability to rewrite the entire PCM/TCM" That if it is true, it is the news of the century as that is quite a statement. What do you mean as "very first 1 available" First 1 of what? Jeff

Haahaha good one Steve, I'm not bashing as the hardware is easy enough to manufacture if you've got the cash as it appears Saleen does. I'm just questioning on where the PCM/TCM tuning is originating from. J
There's nothing wrong with what Diablo can do for these cars so what is re rewriting the PCM going to offer that CMR tuning can't. The TCM tuning is of interest however Diablo from what I have heard are almost ready to launch their own TCM tuning. Are any of these units running yet. Would love to see how the run and hear how they sound. Not a bad looking unit IMO.
