DiabloSport Downloader trouble

I loaded the new program from Diablo and was gonna download it to my tuner. When I hook it up it doesnt detect my tuner. I updated to the latest Downloader and still nothing. Tried to do it manually and it just locked up. Any advice?

 

Did you try Legacy Mode somewhere under connection setup of something?

Ahh, first screen of the dsdownloader, under Options "Legacy connect". That might work.
What did you mean by "trying it manually"?

 

I read something about not using autoconnect. Tried the express tune mode. It just locked up the downloader.

 

i will go ask my wife...... she was the one that finlly was able to configure my laptop to autoconnect with my pred!!! it drove me nuts for hours!!!

 

Did you put your original backup back in the car first

 

Yea, I think you need to stay on the first page (the "connection test" tab) until it connects to the Predator. I don't think you can do anything until it does.

she saved my bacon on this one...... i was soooo pissed after over an hour dicking around with the dsdownloader software that i wanted to smash the laptop!!!!

 

yeah I saved my original tune back to the vehicle. I had no trouble connecting the first time. I guess I will have to try it agian or try another computer.

 

Make sure the driver for the USB to serial cable is still listed in the device manager.

Is there anywhere I can download this? I am assuming this is the disk that came with it.

 

That would be the mini disk that came with it. has blue? lettering on it and will say "ser....." somewhere?

If you're running windows then you should be able to open the disk in explorer and go to
USB TO Serial V1.1(DB-9.DB-25)/Windows/PL-2303 Driver Installer
Run that.

If the driver is missing then windows should be saying something like "new hardware found" and asking for the driver. If it's doing that then give it the path above and addon the folder 98ME_20011_2kXP-20024.

Or... if you have the disk, call Diablo and have them walk you through it.

 

I bet that is it. Gotta find that disk cause I am a computer moron and you confused me with some of that advice. hahahaha

 

yeah i ran into that issue , i had to upload the USB drivers from the mini disk that came with the tuner, then i connected NP. I also had adjust the port speed, per the instructions, I forget what the speed was 115___ GL

 

Ok I cant find the disk. Can yall dumb it down for me or do I have to have the disk?

What type of cable R U using? the USB to Serial, I'll email the driver 2 U , PM me . Not sure if its on the Diablo site.

Is that new or did I miss that before? Either way thanks. Just trying to figure out if I was loosing it.
