ok, so i finally got around to trying my cobra wheels on my caliber. The wheels are 18x10.5 with a 27mm offset, tires are Falken RT-615's in a 315-30-18. The backs fit great, no rub anywhere and just barely stick out of the fender. The fronts fit better then i thought they would, no rub lock to lock but they would definetly eat the fenders over a really big bump, they stick out about 1 3/8". I dont know realistic this is but i figured i would try it for the sake of progression. On to the pics....

Nice...but I can see why you are concerned with rubbing issues.

Shit is hot dont let anyone tell you different. How is the traction on those in boost. I noticed a huge difference from 205 going to 245. Next tires will be 255 but that is still tiny compares to your's.

Also how does it feel during driving. I have often had issues with wider tires making the car feel heavy when turning.

i noticed a significant traction and handling difference when going from the stock 17x6 (205s) to my 17x8 (235s) but the only gripe i have is a feel of a little 'slop' when i turn the wheel initially, not affecting response, but i lost the 'tight' steering feel

honestly, the car has been driven a total of about 20 feet with those tires and wheels on it. The backs dont worry me at all, but im scared that if i hit a big bump it will completly destroy the front fenders. This was more of an experiment to really see what we can actually get under these cars. You never know though, with a little flare and a little negative camber on the fronts you just may see some rolling shots of my car with this setup :)
