ok when i get above 65mph on the HWY my needle on the speedometer begins to sway back and forth. It's not real bad, its mainly just annoying! It has never done this before and it just started after i got my mods put on.

    My mods are,
    Stage1 pcm
    AGP WGA
    HKS BOV
    MBC
    SBC stage II Clutch

Any ideas on what this could be? OR is it anything to worry about?

i had the same thing happen with one of my camaros....never did find what caused it though. im guessing i would have had to replace the gauges.

I couldn't tell you exactly what the problem is but did all the mods get put on the same day at the same time? If they were put on at seperate times then after which last mod do you think it started doing it?

To rule out the pcm I would say to throw in your stock one and see if it does it with the stock one.

Also if you can described "swaying". I'm trying to picture of what exactly is it doing. Is it not staying along the lines of where your mph is?

say if your going 75mph its bouncing back an forth from 72 to 78 while going a constant speed

and was doing it with the stock pcm.
started seeing swaying back at 30K and now at 90K

I get a little sway on mine, but it's only when I get around 85-90ish...and it's usually only 1 MPH either way. Seeing as how I rarely drive that speed I don't really worry about it.

I get it as soon as a go about 65 and its not that bad and 1 to 2 mph thats it. both ways. I'm not really all that worried about it if its not that big a deal. I just didn't want it to be something major going in with the computer system.

Guys guys guys.....It happens to every one. In fact, I don't know a single skittle guy that DOESN'T have that issue.

And, as far as I know, there is no way to fix it. I know guys who have replaced everything from the speed gear in the tranny all the way to the cluster.

Trust me, your mods have ZERO to do with it. I know this forum is kinda new, but do a search on SRTforums...you'll be surprised.

Mine did and is still doing it at random times. I remember reading about this in the past and the person swapped everything....speed sensor, PCM, gauge cluster...all that. I do know that when I slap my dash board right above the speedo, it bounces back...

Speed Sensor is the problem, the funny thing is you can replace it and about 3 months later it will be doing the same thing.
    Soooo you have two options
#1 Replace the Speed Sensor every couple months
#2 Just ignore it and be happy :)

Its not that bad so i'm not worried about it. I just didn't want it to be anything serious like a bad pcm or something like that. I just thought it was funny that it just started doing it right after i put on all my mods. It may have started it b4 i just havn't had it on the HWY doing crusing speeds untill i moved back to College.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm just glad its nothing serious and that it happens to alot of skittles.

You guys stare at your speedometer too much lol

Will driving my wife's car to Orlando on the highway... I saw this "swaying" at 65mph. Never even noticed it till this thread... that and I don't stare at the speedometer long enough to notice. I just take a quick glance to see what speed I'm going at.
