Jason and I went out to the "Proving Grounds" today and snapped a few photo's while we were out there since it was such a nice day. Jason's car is one hell of a head turner now. For those of you that don't know, Jason has KWv1's, "chromed" stock wheels, debadged the sides, 6.1 badges on hood scoop, "Momo" on a Mopar design front hood emblem, Zoomers, Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas, and of course the Vortech supercharger.
WOW. Great pics. Jason should hurry up and post those on the Photo Contest thread. It closes tonight.
Dang Jason, you got that thing sitting on the ground. Do you park in the street now or can you still get in the driveway? Lookin' good! Bud, how's it handle?
I didn't drive it today around the twisties but Jason says it handles much better. Jason's tire pressures were 31psi after driving it all day. I told him I didn't want to T&E it until he has about 36psi cold...LOL. I did drive it to the store yesterday and the KWv1's really handle the road imperfections well. It seems like the damping is set at right in the middle from what my adjustment range is with the KWv2's.
Rick thanks for taking the time to take those pics they came out awesome!!! Dave yeah she's riding low!!! I scrap now and then but nothing major! She handles about 25% better with the kws. I can't believe people think my car... Momo's car... Looks that good! Ha!!! Rick actually said I should enter her in a show!!!
That's what I expected they'd do. Odd thing about the tire pressure. I ran my RSA's for the first half of their life at 31/32 psi and they wore evenly. For the last 6K or so I've been running them at 36 to 38 and they're still wearing evenly. Odd. The increased pressure sure does make the handling a lot more crisp.
Car looks good Jason!!! My favorite part is still the chromed factory SRT8 wheels. Someday I'll look into getting mine chromed. I wonder how much that would cost per wheel. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks for the compliments folks! At one point I never thought I'd own my charger... And later I never imagined having the mods I do (nearly all purchased used btw). Now I've got people complimenting me?!?! Unbelievable!!! As for the chromed own wheels, pm 5150srt8... I bought those wheels off him!
Mine were a sweet, yet shady, deal. I got all 4 of my wheels chromed for $600. The guy at the wheel shop had a buddy who worked at a plating place and he did them under the table after work. Cash makes for sweet deals. Jason, the Charger is looking great. I really didn't know if I would like chrome wheels on a silver car, but they look pretty good!
My wife just looked at the pictures and said it looks like Lightning McQueen: "Ka-chow!" *poses for the cameras
wow momo, the sled is looking mighty nice!!! btw, it looks like it is sitting a little on the high side in the rear....... lol
Dang Jason, I thought the pix you put up before were good, these are sweet! I love the clean look, your Charger is one of the sweetest I've ever seen, seriously man. Hey, so you are looooooooooooow like me (nice isn't it, lol!), how are you dealing with that speed bump by your house? Did you dig it up? Or grind it down? lol! I think I hate speed bumps more than anything! I love that old Porsche commercial ... "We don't know who invented speed bumps but we're pretty sure he wasn't German" lol!
