B&G A World Leader in DCX Engine tuning solutions is now offering fully custom LX/WK TCM(Transmission) tuning from stock to full race we can custom tune your TCM to fit your vehicle needs, its not cheap but doesn't your vehicle deserve the best..Call the SHOP or www.bgperformancepcm.com
will you have email tunes, or do you have to have the vehicle? How much is "not cheap?" How much will TCM tuning effect a pretty-much-stock jeep like mine? ok..I have a million questions. I'll stop there for now.
No email TCM tunes, No company supports direct email TCM flashing. I will be flashing the supplied TCM directly, I will offer B&G stage 1,2,3 TCM tunes 1 being street, 2 being street/strip, 3 being race, and they will be tweaked based on your engine/drivetrain modifications. The TCM will be specific to your vehicle modifications not a genaric tune.. Average price will be $650(stage 1&2) which includes shiping back to the customer. Heavly modified race vehicles (B&G stage 3) which require extensive code modifications will be sightly more $850 again based on tuning time and modification list. Also we can do custom TCM tuning request cost will be based on time and complexity of requested modifications. Again if cost is an issue then maybe you should get one of those other guys canned TCM units, but if you require the best custom tuning avalible then you have come to the right place. Hope this helps
helps alot. So I give you a list of my mods and send you my torgue control module and you tune it and send it back. Sounds simple. When can we expect to see the results of this tuning? I want it, but I want to know what it will do for my jeep first. Thanks for your time, and explanation.
I think it's important some explanation of the function and result be explained. Dave, since this is your thread. I would greatly appreciate it if you would do the honors. I'd hate to see someone spend the money not having a full understanding of what they will see and attain with the results then come back here and bash it.
To answer your question without full page of details, B&G Custom TCM tunes will lift the TCM torgue managment,Rev limiter, stall speed, clutch pack release/fill issues, adaptive memory restrants, that are causing issues expecialy on the big HP vehicles. Right now the B&G PCM tunes are removing all the Engine side TM issues which improve the trans shift quaility greatly, Now you can also have the same thing done on the trans TCM side, which will benift a stock vehicle to a full race vehicle package. See our Web Site for more Details. Hope this helps..
ok, so a stocker like me needs to stay out of the kitchen for the time being. Someday I would like to have a 426(who wouldn't). For me its either buy a challenger in a year, or sink a bunch of money into the Jeep in a year. So I just need to keep up to speed until my jeep has more balls. Thanks for clearing that up guys.
Ok, I'm clueless. How custom is this? Would I be able to get the street version and then send a list of transmission behavior that I'd like? For example could I specify that I don't want the trans to upshift unless the next gear is going to have the rpms at 2K or above? So if I'm holding a steady 35 mph my engine rpm will be at least 2K? a sort of hold the lower gear behavior? customized like that along with all the other good stuff you'll have in there?
Jeep??? Dave You posted this in the Jeep section. Are you saying you can modify the Jeep TCM as well? For some time those of us with 426 and power adders have been screaming for TCM mods plus raising shift points. So what are you offering for the Jeep owners??:help:
Do i have to send you my TCM or can i purchase another TCM, tune it tnen send id to me? or i am sking for something not possible?
I believe Dave answered that in the first sentence. "B&G A World Leader in DCX Engine tuning solutions is now offering fully custom LX/WK TCM(Transmission) tuning. If I'm not mistaken, WK means Jeep too.
NO! I read that but specifically the LX and WK have distintively different tuning tables. If you have an LX based handheld and a WK handheld they perform different tasks. The LX being much more capable than the WK. So no....respectfully.......... my question was not answered.
Not to rain on anybodies parade. But IMO, your going to find that each TCM will react differently with whom evers CMR tune your running. The TM settings of the PCM will net varing results. So once again, IMO, there's gonna be a little play time with these just like what went on with the BnG PCM's prior to Diablo. Mind you, that is by no means a bash on Dave. But there will be a learning curve.
Ive got a spare BG PCM and a spare TCM, Maybe if a test is in order on this I could send both to Dave, I to agree there will need to be compatible parameters with the PCM/TCM. Very interesting stuff here guys.:future:
Diablo Hey Chris I agree.....this reminds me of when B&G was the only game in town......how long until Diablo comes out with a revision???:erm:
Yea especially when they are programming so many TCM's for various transmissions and cars. (BTW check out the price for the MB stuff) http://mbworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=258055 Jeff
