426 if your going to keep it NA. 392 if you plan on boosting the hell out of it. I would talk to PPP about this.

I got a chance to take a spin in Hal's 426 tonight. All I can say is WOW! John (SDCarguy) has always said "I don't care about peak numbers....show me a graph with the curve". In Hal's 426 I felt that lack of curve everyone, except vendors and dyno queens, want to see/feel. I love the rumble. I started my car next to Luis' car who was running, and couldn't even tell my car was running. A much deeper, throatier rumble to her. Ironically, I wasn't even considering 426 a few months ago. But, since this is "probably" as far as I'll take the motor, I think I have found the direction I want to go. After this, it will be chassis stiffening, bushing replacements, and more road racing oriented mods!

You'll need to add cutouts after that to get the "hard on" effect of the stroker motor with LT headers and no cats! Do it you pussy!!!

Yep, cutouts have been the cheapest mod for Momo to date! And it only cost $25 for him to realize he's not cut out (no pun intended) for cutouts! LOL

If it wasn't for you Ralph, he'd still be running the cutouts!

I took a ride in "Hal's" car and like the pull throughout the RPM range. So hear is my rationale. If I buy a centrifugal I will have to void any warranty (Chrysler or blower manufacturer) to make it worth the money by doing a custom tune. If I can get similar results throughout the entire rpm range with either a 426 or a twin screw, logic would tell me that I'd be an idiot to do a twin screw over a 426. Twin screw has "potential" at blowing a motor more than just having a forged motor. With an Arrington 426 it comes with a 3 year 36k mile warranty....and it's a new motor! My motor now has 43k miles. I also know that with a 426 I'll be able to keep a strut tower brace under the hood. I guess I'll have to take a ride in a car with a twin screw on a stock bottom to make my decision. Someone please shoot holes in my logic.

The custom tune doesnt void the warranty on the head unit or parts of the vortech kit. Only if you do a pulley swap.

Plus cost on a 426 will be a lot more then a supercharger of any kind.

    RICKY,

I know you well enough to know you are going to research this! Don't rush into it and try to drive everything you can with the possible setup you want. Remember, "EVERYONE HAS AN OPINION ON WHAT THEY WOULD DO, BUT WHAT DOES RICKY WANT AND WILL THE CAR EVENTUALLY DRIVE THE WAY RICKY WANTS?" :huglove:

Thanks buddy! I won't be rushing into anything at all. I won't be reenlisting for another four years so I won't come across any big money for at least that time. Most everyone on the boards has come across some sort of deal or another. I'm dropping 12.5k on something...so now is my turn on a deal, or I just won't pull the trigger...no big deal.

I'm looking for sure. Doesn't PPP use and Arrington 426? I could have sworn they do...maybe I'm mistaken!

Oh, never thought about that consideration. If you do a power adder you'll be adding power to an almost half used up motor. The 426 would start you out fresh again.
