I got my 2007 car from out of state. When I got it there was no DVD in there. The Guy I bought the car from had me call my local dealer and they told the disc I needed for mine. I needed the AF disc for that one... My 06 had the AD but i know Have an AF in there too... Once you go with the newer version you can't go back... AC, AD, AE?, AF...

    Hope this helps...

Any one should work. They come out with a new one each year with updated and added map coverage. I don't know of any enhancements or bug fixes in the firmware. A couple of people complained about lack of coverage in parts of south east pennsylvania with the AD version.

Now if you want to hack it to get rid of the in motion restriction then I think you want AE. Some enterprising people did a hack for AE? to remove the in motion restriction and I don't think they did it for any other versions. You got to rip the NAV cd, apply the hack, burn it onto a double density (double layer?) disc and reload it. So if you're interested in doing that you want a specific version.

[Edit] Heh, it looks like the hack is available for both AE and AF.
