I think its a great idea Scott. I just added my name to the list. That is one of those pain in the ass things that can, and probably will happen to all of us sooner or later. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" lol

If you follow the link up there it takes you to the middle of a thread where they talk about a billet replacement piece. If you go back to the first or second page of the thread there is a link to a thread with pics of the thing. It's a plastic piece used to lock the shifter in park when the key is removed. When you put the key in the servo releases and a little spring pulls the plastic piece out of the way. The spring is hooked onto the plastic piece on a weak little plastic arm. When the arm breaks off it doesn't get pulled out of the way and you can't shift out of park.

Did anyone check if that piece has been improved on newer models?

Since I'm under warranty for another 3 years I think part of the ordering process should require a letter to Chrysler demanding a TSB on that. I've pulled my console off so many times it's about wore out. If there's a TSB I can tell my dealer I'll supply the part and let them do it.

just got back from the BT shop and talked with Scott and Dan about this. Scott showed me what they are doing and how they are going to make the piece. As of right now they are in the stages of making it. This is a great piece they are making and will solve everyones problems with the spring and get rid of the cheaply made pink piece.

After reading thru everything and skimming the various drama bits, responded. Thanks for bringing this up, Scott!
