I've been lurking your threads on every LX forum there is, anxiously awaiting every update... CONGRATS! On the engine being done! Now don't just sit there, go take more PICTURES, and provide us with our daily dose of engine porn! :woot: Man, that thing is going to be sucha beast... I think we're as anxious as you are to see the final PICTURES and numbers.
I know how it goes... I actually dream about driving mine. It sucks when you get ticketed in your dreams! Hope it puts a big ass smile on your face!!
The driver arrived at 10am this morning at HP/F to delivery the engine and I was there just after, YES YES YES, very keen I know...LOL A few changes made particularly with the head setup. Valve springs original sent with the kit were no good and disgarded. For what we want something better and stronger was needed so PSI springs were sourced. Lets see these buggers snap/brake. A few other littel things which I saw on the sheet and spoke with RDP/DynoSteve about which I will go into in the final report of build. Anyway the first lot of pics now in. PLENTY MORE TO COME! Shot of the new BWoody Thermo manifold gasket - Thanks mate. Cometic head gaskets And the beast, my new 9.5-1, Twin Screw 426 F/I Engine.
I think I just wet myself. lol Awesome Daniel. I am very excited for you. Can't wait to read your, "It is ALIVE" post/thread. Congrats Mate.
I cannot wait to start that thread myself. Probably another 4-6 weeks and she is there I believe. Still a heap of fabrication/coating/assembling to go as well as tuning, but we are getting there now and things will start happening now with the engine back.
I just went through this also...without the S/C of course! I'll pay you a hundred bucks if you can manage to not show all your teeth in an ear-to-ear smile the first time you put 'er in drive and mash the gas!!!! lol Just be sure not to hit a 40 pound deer...errrr kangaroo, on your FIRST trip out.
Hey all. Not much to update as yet as I have not been down to see the guys at HP/F for a while now since dropping off the engine, plus I have been under the pump at work. I have spoken with them over the last week and it is definitely coming along at a nice pace now. Block now has my new 4 bolt caps fitted and the block has been O-Ringed to suit BIIIIG boost as well (and to stop leakage ). I cannot wait to show you all what has been happening and the best of all, then new BIIIIIIIIIIG surprise install. Will have a more of an update for you all come Wednesday but till then here are some new pics I have gotten.
Hmm, that valvetrain looks familiar. lol. Looks great Daniel, cant wait to see the end product. Do you mind if I post your cam specs up?
Hey mate how ya doing. I thought you would like that . I don't see why the specs can't be posted up. Go ahead mate. Might surprise a few people at the same time. hehehe! Ummmm.....Yep you could say that....LOL. I cannot wait to hear how this sounds I tell you what. Very excited (I have mentioned that haven't I).
