yeah i know. launching on street tires is the toughest thing to do......but try around 2500, only half throttle till you feel the car start to bite, you'll know when to drop the hammer....

So pretty much if I understand the concept correctly. Hold the rev at 2500rpms, let off the clutch and leave my foot steady on the gas where I have it held. Then go into 2nd early and when I feel it grip let it rip?

yeah, bc that last run with that good 60', i coasted at least the last 200' and still ran 14.5 at 81 mph. even kevin when you and me first ran asked if we had a 12 sec pass. he didnt even believe the times.

i like BMP, but i want to try another track next time i go. as long as it's quarter mile

none of the numbers make sense at that track last couple times i went. i can see us running those times if we're missing gears, but even with a 2.2 to 2.4 60', it should be in the 13's. your car should def be a midto high 13 sec and mine should be a solid mid to low 13's.

def wanna try a different track

he's dead on :good:. my best 60' times are launching at 2500 and slowly letting off the clutch.

i wish bwoody would do a sale on their damn traction bars

If I wasn't stuck on the line I would have saw more runs. But they were getting pissed off at people for walking away from their cars. So this time everyone had to stay by their car unlike last time you can walk off see some runs and get to your car when it was time. This time around sucked because I didn't get to see anyone else run. The wind kept messing with the mph. Timeslips were hurting.

The Lightning was definately moving. I just watched the vids on TR. Damn Ozzy was ripping it, he was moving holy crap!

yeah hold the revs at 2500..........let off the clutch and hold at half throttle till you feel the tires bite, you'll be in first still spinning a little but you'll feel when it finally hooks and then you go full throttle, it happens fast, just feel for the tires to bite

That track has me lost like my last dyno numbers. Seriously. When your at a dyno your first run is usually your best run without any changes made to the second run. Well my first run my numbers were low and second run they were better. Made no sense. Should see a drop after 1st run.

My first run at the track yesterday I came out of hole like a bat out of hell. Cheryl was in the car and the launch felt perfect. No wheel hop, like little to no spin just a straight shot. Took down a Camaro Z24. I was telling Cheryl damn that was my best run ever that has to be a 13 sec run. Ended up being 14.6. Made no sense. I know the guy in the Camaro wasn't happy. He was wearing a race jacket and a helmet. I got him off the launch and kept away from him down the track lol. He wasn't gaining.

if you ever find yourself on an empty street with nobody around, try it out.....the key is getting the feel for when your tires bite and then slamming the gas

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to have to go on a day like Runday Sunday and just practice and practice. I think you get a lot more runs on Sunday's.

Orlando is worst. They call that track Orlando "Spin" World lol. The Orlando guys prefer running at Bradenton.
