Well it could have been a new one considering they run right around 11.8's.

I thought Steve had shown me a video of this run when he tuned my car?
Does he have another RDP forced Chrysler?

What I was trying to say Hal, is that rule of thumb only works when the 60' time is based on HP. When the slow time is due to just going slow at the start on purpose, it's no longer true.

Imagine the extreme: A car rolls forward just enough to trip the lights, but then sits still for 2 seconds before mashing the throttle, and gets a 4.0 second 60' time and a 15.0 1/4 mile.

Now he mashes the throttle and gets a 2.0 second 60' time, and he'll get a 13.0 1/4 mile time.

Most instances are obviously between the extremes. But it's very like the extra second taken on this particular run in the first 60' would only shave 1-1.1 in the 1/4 mile.

PLausible based on MPH. 8 psi sounds low though.

WOW I can't believe how this thread has turned out. Maybe nothing should have been said to begin with.

I can promise that Gillian (DynoSteves wife) is doing everything she can to get a copy of the time slip. Please remember though that this information was only posted due to what Steve was told by the guy who ran, and by the members on 3CF that attended Mopar Sunday. There's no BS behind this, there is no hidden agenda, it is just a thread to state what has been happening after many requests by many people as to how this kit runs down the 1/4. Well here it is. Hell Steve's in the US at the moment and was told by the guy who ran what he achieved yet he is getting slammed for posting what many have asked.

Yes the proof is in what can be shown but I also thought it was based on the word of others who saw such runs which has also been posted in various threads.

One thing I may be incorrect about is the PSI it was running. Upon looking at the kit installed on his car it seems that the pulley may be the smaller one which is rated at 10 PSI. If this is the case I apologise for any misleading information. Perhaps Steve can chime in here and confirm or I will speak with RDP Australia in the morning to confirm.

Anyway the time slip will be up ASAP and hopefully the video will be found as well shortly.

It's not that big of a deal. Nobody is calling anyone a liar. We just want to understand how the math (evidence) stacks up. Right now there is some skepticism. Seeing a timeslip might help disect what happened but I just don't know.

[sarcasm]It's not like JMatt ever suffered from people being skeptical before[/sarcasm]

I'm willing to listen to what is posted. But, when it comes down to me spending 10k later this year I would like to see things a bit more concrete. I'm sure you are the same way.

Bud, I am with you on this...10k is a chunk of money...it is also relevant because when your deciding your going to part with 10K and who is going to part you from the 10K, you want something reasonably quantifiable!! And results like this, if they hold up, help you make the judgement call.

    Thanks Daniel.

As stated previously, no one is calling anyone a liar, but many of us have been down this road before. There have been quite a few people (around all of the forums) that have posted unheard of (yet amazing) 1/4 mile times, that come to find out later that there were discrepencies found from the track they had run on.

I can bet that everyone on this forum is pulling for the owner of having this run without cause or faulty track equipment.

Myself like others have absolutely NO REASON (not yelling here lol) to doubt Steve, or owner on these terrific times.

My hat is off to the owner and RDP for producing a great product that obviously works quite well. The customer support is even better. ;)

We love you guys and are extremely happy that the guys from down under have given us Yankee's the opportunity to be apart of this.

122mph in the 1/4 mile is very believable. Our car dynoes at around 500rwhp. A stock motor with 8 psi is going to be around the same rwhp depending on supporting mods. With that being said, our car hits 122mph in cooler weather and im sure an rdp blown car could do the same, all I am saying is that an 11.7 with a 2.7 60ft and a 127mph cant be possible in that car. I will agree with an 11.8@122mph with a 2.3 60ft, but thats about the limit of what I can believe without seeing it.

I think Chad traps 127-129 with 730rwhp, there is no way 8-10psi on a stock block is making that much power.

In closing, 11.8@122 with 550rwhp is very believable. 11.7@127, I can swallow just yet.

Put it this way, he should have no issue repeating these times anyways, and we all look forward to seeing it. Steve has always been a man of his word, but he was merely relaying what a customer of his told him. We support RDP and Dynosteve and these types of responses would be common on any forum.

Like everyone else, I'd like to see the timeslip. BUt the whole LX world knows I'm skeptical of everything, and I still think Steve is credible on this one.

I believe him, but I still want some physical evidence.

Well I only have one point and that is ....
If a vendor posts a "supposed" wonderful thing that they supposedly had a major influence in getting an incredible time at the dragstrip, they should already have done the legwork to have the evidence in hand (whether a timeslip or a video) to dispell any naysayers.

It's one thing for a customer to come on a forum to sing the praises of a vendor any day (and heavens knows everyday somebody starts a new thread about the latest, greatest 3rd Gen Hemi Mod whether it's warranted or not:worthy:)

But I myself hold a form vendor to a higher standard when they post a new thread because they have a profit driven agenda......
