Had a fantastic time at the races last Friday. First time to the tree, and had a BLAST. Adrenaline rushes in the staging lane... awesome! Anyhow... here are my runs. I really wanted to get into the 12's, but then that's what next time is for. Any way for me to get a better 60' time? 2.14 seems kinda slow. Any tips appreciated. I'm car 7416 btw.

It looks like your a little flat under the 1/8 I suspect its in tuning but looks like past the 1/8 you really come alive what are your A/F readings in 1st and 2nd gear. I see you have a corsa and HF cats could you be running to free and not enough backpressure off the line??? Hell your trapping 110mph thats crazy

Yeah, think I'm gonna run some drag radials in the near future. That, and wait for the sun to quit being so damn hot! I need to focus on proper launch procedure. Any suggestions?

Very nice. You have consistency and that is half the battle.

Congrats on getting the butterfly's out of the system.

On the DR's... You seriously need to look into upgraded 1/2 shafts if you plan on using DR's. You may not snap the shafts at first, but you will eventually.

Nice times! Sooo close. I see no reason why you won't be in the 12 second club very shortly. I'm waiting for things to cool off as well before I head back. With your mods, I'd do a small burnout (just turn em over a few times) and avoid the water. Try to rev it up anywhere from 1000-1300 depending on the conditions of the track that day. Roll out on the last yellow and mash it as soon as you can. Practice makes perfect. My best 60 is only a 1.92 on street tires so you may not want to listen to me anyways lol.

My car is producing almost the exact same power as yours, just curious as to the temp and da and location you made these runs?

    Those are horrible 60' times.

You can probably blame track prep for that. But also, be sure to drop your rear tire pressure to around 28 psi. It'll help. Do short burnouts on street tires. Otherwise they just get slippery.

You're easily doing well enough for a high 12.8x or low 12.9x already.

Thx for the tips! Burning through my F1's didn't produce the better times, you're right. I also was running standard street pressure. I should remember to drop it to 28lbs next time. The temp outside was about 90F that day. Hot as hell, but kept the fans running while w8n to get called up. Then the mosquitoes came out. Loads of em. This drag racing is a fkn blast!

Good weather, get your 60' to 1.95 to 2.0's, I would think 12.6's to 12.7's.

    Hot day huh?
What was you engine temp running? You reallly want 180ish. Pushing 195-200 or over and you will be running slower also. You might want to try a couple of ice bags on the intake between runs, and/or spray radiator.
I would say about 170 is best... but that is a dream in an SRT8.
