My buddy has an 06 SRT/10 Viper and today I got a lil respect from him ..After Church I looked up and seen him in his Viper so I turned on my bottles and purged it to let him know I was there...lol...I made it out of parking lot and made a left on to main road...Looking back I never seen him turn ,so I figured ohh well..next time...Get maybe 5 miles up the road I see a black car coming my way,so I back it down a bit...Bottle heater on and I gear it down..He gets beside me running maybe 50 we nail it ...I pull out a couple car lengths and he passes me a lil after 80...BUT he was not ready for me I was geared down he wasnt..We hit it again from a slow roll and by 80 he has me 3-4 cars and pulling hard...I think ..well I tried...Now we are coming to a stop light so we both gracefully back it down hoping for a red light...And just our luck we get one...I am thinking OHHH YEAH...So we are lined up side by side ..adreneline is just a pumping..I put it to manual flip the N2o switch and stall it to 2000rpm Look over and he is all smiles..lol...Light turns green I pull 4 cars on him...I see IN THE REAR VIEW he got excited and gave it too much after he seen me launch so hard he made it fish tail a bit...So now I am thinking ..well it was a better race from a stop..Crusing on taking it easy thinking we r done..Wait ,what is this.. another stop light...here we go,we back it down and get one more chance...I get all set up switches, stall to 2000rpm and he is all set....Green light ...I get 3-4 lenghts on him ..He got a pretty good launch with minimal tire spin..at this time I am watching speedo and rearview to see where I stop pulling him and where he catches me...Between 60-70 I stopped pulling and he is coming strong...AT 120 he gets right beside me,so I shut down...I am well pleased with my runs seeing my bottle pressure was just under 900lbs with around half full bottles at start of runs...He also has a reprogramed PCM,Different flywheel and CAI ALL opinions appreciated...Sorry for the long thread....THANKS
Niiiiiiiiiiice. To my understanding, the PCM flash and Flywheel do wonders for the 10. Gotta love respect. hehe
Great runs! I wonder how well a Viper would do on DR's out of the hole though? That would be interesting.
I dont think the Viper guy knows how to drive it correctly. I have both and the Viper eats the SRT-8 for breakfast at the track or no the street. Both are modified but no juice on either one.
I am only posting what happend...I have nothing to prove to anyone and I told it how I seen it...As far as his driving...IF YOU have ever drivin a Viper you would know you have to be a better than average driver just to launch or even keep car straight at WOT...I am spraying a 125shot of NOS ....At the track and a better launch he may have caught me sooner...Bullshit is your opinion and you are all welcome to post your opinion I only told it as it happend...Thanks for taking your time to read my thread...
No need to explain I have destoryed my buddy Wade (TOOLOE) in his RC SRT10 and he had mods but just too much power from a dig by the time he quit spinning and getting straight I was so far ahead I just quit, now from a roll its a whole different story 4th gear on those RC SRT10 are SICK. I really, really wish they would have made the SRT10 Truck an AWD can you imagine how much fun that would be
I had 3 trucks on a ZO6 from a dig to 60MPH...i believe you. FWIW, he was comming up HARD on me...at 65, he prolly would have passed me, and by 70MPH-5 cars!
