Took it out for a test run after retarding the timing 4 degrees. WOW! Here is a picture of the dual tbodies when the motor went in: C.
Dually has been on almost all of the time. I luv it. I have to take the car to Firebird to get any kind of traction. The wind was blowing and monsoon clouds were rolling in. The Speedworld track last week was a disaster traction wise. I got a 1.9 sixty foot. I have done much better than that in the past. C.
Well still didn't get traction. Neither did anyone else. Looks like the ZEX addition to the rear TBODY intake added about 3MPH to the car speed. It runs fantastic. I am extremely pleased with the addition. C.
Nice setup! I just bought a 300C SRT8 and would love to see your car run. I was going to go to Firebird friday night but didn't make it out. Maybe this next week. My old "fast" car was a 96 Impy with 396 and 200 shot that went 12.8's on motor and could never get it to go all the way down the track on the 200 shot. Looking to start small but a small shot on the stock setup and run some mid to low 12's would be nice. 1 off topic question - what are you high HP guys doing for trannies or do the stockers hold up? The 4L60E was a nightmare in the gm stuff....
Stock tranny's are holding up beautifully. Both guys who have breached the 10's haven't had a hard issue yet. Now going that fast proves that the tranny needs an oil cooler though.
Welcome to the world of Hemi. I am not sure you can get mid to low 12s with just a small shot on a stock motor. You might get high 12s with 200 shot here in PHX. C.
I asume you are the dynoshop? Yes. I had GSM tune the car and we got 492RWHP and 511RWTQ. My numbers at the dynoshop were 467RWHP and 482RWTQ. None of these numbers included nitrous. C.
Hey Mike. Glad to see you've found our site. Drop into our new member forum. We have a pretty active LX community here in Phoenix. Carl, who started this thread is a local also. We have an AZLX club that is on the LXforums. You can check in there for local happenings. Some of the member there also have joined here. We don't have a problem with cross referencing websites, others do. http://www.lxforums.com/board/forumdisplay.php?f=225 I think you'll find that our site is a better place to hang out.
Hows your fuel system holding up with the stroker and the twin 75 shots? I bet that thing feels like a rocket.
Seems like she is doing fine fuel wise. I have blue giant injectors. I think I may be right at the top of what my fuel system can deliver. Zex will cut fuel if nitrous pressure drops and I believe it cuts nitrous if fuel pressure drops. It is a nice safety feature. It really fealt like the car was digging deaper into it's capability if that makes any sense. It sounded and fealt beautiful. I ran the juice almost the whole track long. Didn't get really hot or anything. Everything was good. C.
You are running the stock fuel system with the blue injectors? No boost a pump or anything? Ya, the ZEX boxes are supposed to have some fail safe features. Not sure how agressive they are though.
Yes sir. I haven't done much watching of the AF yet with the new setup but it fealt and sounded solid. I have been running right in the 12.1 to 12.4 range without nitrous and then my ZEX 75 shot is kind of fat and I am running about 93-95 octane. I am going to data log with the new setup next. Was basically testing it the first time out. Found a nitrous leak at one of the hoses and fixed it and got the purge all working at the track. C.
