I love the black chrome...looks "dirty" and I love it. The debadged thing has grown on me so far...here are a few pics of the almost final result and thanks for looking:
I been wanting to do this and seeing your car seals it. Black chrome looks great on Inferno Red. Like your Grip bodykit also.
Thanks guys. It's been a long time getting things finished. The black chrome was a shot in the dark on my car and I love it.
I always like seeing pics of your car. that way i can see what mine could/will look like!! im considering the grip front end and black chrome on down the road. i think ill do the suspension first though. is your car lowered?
Dittio on the pics my friend! No lowering yet...suspension is next but I am officially suspending myself from modding for a while. I just need to DRIVE it a bunch for the short term...lol. Your car is very similar to mine in most regards... If you go with the Grip front there are a couple of things I would get ready first...take off your belly scrape plastic piece and prepare to make another one six inches longer...i.e. have the material ready, whatever it is. The Grip front end doesn't match up and if you drive around your belly piece will bend down in the wind and hit the road and all that crapola. I am using aluminum strap pieces and a thick zip-tie at the moment...kinda a pita though. I'll try to snap some under-car pics in a sec. Thanks guys!!!!!
jon - how wide did you go with the rear wheels and what size tires???? did you need spacers???? just curious...
1" wider to 10" total. I have 275's on now and will probably not go wider than 295's or so when I need new tires. I also have 3mm spacers now hanging on my wall. I don't think I need spacers but you have a better idea than I do I think.
with a 1" increase and running 275's, then you would not need spacers..... i have an 1 1/2" increase and a bigger tire requiring the spacers. i should soon have an answer as to when and how much the machined spacers for our rides will be. if you decide to go bigger on the tire size, you will need something as well!!! lol
Jon, that black chrome is *awesome*! It's great to see your car back together. Those shots of it in pieces were kinda depressing! Let me know when you're gonna be in SLC with some time on your hands, and we'll polish it up. I still have that extra mod sitting on my garage shelf, too. A few rounds with the rotary and a layer of Zymol Vintage, and we'll have you set for the Councours Elegance! Or at least the local Hooters...
