We banned photo radar here years ago. I thought it was amusing that some were sending in photos of their cash in hand to pay the tickets hehehe. I've read recently that this stuff was illegal but it did in fact cast a shine that may have blurred out the plate number.

the spray, tape, and plate covers have been around for a few years now.

The biggest rage right now is to get vanity plates that read...

    O00OD0OO

    1II1Il1I

    Etc...

The computers can not make the distinction between the 0's O's and D's or the 1's, I's and L's. haha

I think the D's in my plate have saved me three times already. ;)

They just announced they are putting speeding cams on almost ALL Phoenix area freeways. Time to do something.

The spray is a total waste of money. Absolute crap. I tried it in the interest of science a couple years ago and put up a writeup on the stuff. Even a whole can of that goo did absolutely nothing (I took pics after every coat and ... it did nothing).

The woo woo phantom plates... same story. The speed cams are not at enough of an angle for it to ruin readability. Mythbusters did a great segment on this but it wasn't the only one.

Best way to beat photo radar is with a mallet and a stepladder.
