I could have sworn I saw a number that was less than 200 for the 08'MSRT8.

I'd sell it. I wouldn't be able to take the pressure. If you wrecked it the whole Mopar world would be mad at you and you'd always have to be worried about walking into a bar and ... "Heh, aren't you the guy who wrecked the ONLY..." or "John, look who we found over in the bleacher sections. Folks at home may not know this but this is the guy who wrecked the only..."

There have been several cars where they only made one of a specific color. Those cars were never "orderable" by the general public, but were special cars for charity auctions, or for purchase by a dealer, etc.

The rarest SRT-8 offered to the general public is the Silver 2005 300C SRT-8. There were 200 2005's made for the general public and about 64 company cars. Of the 200 total, something like 64-68 (don't recall exact number) were Silver. The rest were Black.

Perhaps. But the one thing about the '05s is that in 05 the 6.1L ONLY came on the 300C, so the total number of 05 blocks, regardless of vehicle type, is only 200.

Of course, the dealer just offered me an 08 Challenger for my '05 PLUS $30,000.
So apparently my car is worth about 12-18K to them.

It's funny how they want 5K - 10K over for Challengers, and in the same breath tell me know one wants SRT-8's any more because of the gas mileage.

    Whatever. :dumb:

Yea, lol, I kinda figured that, hahahhahaha!

I don't care WHAT the mileage is, I AIN'T BUYIN NO PRIUS!!! There's always gonna be people that don't care about mileage, stupid dealers. I'd rather drive a Gremlin or Pacer or even a Yugo than a stupid Prius tho. In fact ...

I HEREBY GIVE PERMISSION TO ANY MEMBER ON THE CONNECTION (or any person on the planet for that matter) TO HEREBY SHOOT ME DEAD IF I'M SEEN IN A PRIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    LOL!! HAHAHHAHAHHHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

Charger SRT8 numbers by dash plaque

Almost, you were only off by 100, see below. :)

The 1st Charger SRT-8 was a 2006 in GoMango with VIN 2B3LA73W36H263592. And from this VIN search, it really is a GoMango and was at one point owned by one "BUSINESS ERIKA J BOSS BARRETT", presumably of Barrett-Jackson auctions. Pics and info available in the auction history search, lot number 426.

    2007 Charger SRT8 - #300 - Plum Crazy
    2007 Charger Super Bee SRT8 - #1000 - Detonator Yellow
    2008 Charger Super Bee SRT8 - #1000 - B5 Blue

See this thread about the 2006 Crossfire SRT6. Looks like there were only 12 or 13 of them made for that model year, as they were a special order.

Yet they want to charge you $20k over sticker for an SRT8 even though they admit that no one wants an SRT8 because of mileage

The rarest of all the SRT8's as of right now would IMO be this one....

Any SRT Magnum will be the rarest because of low production numbers and because the discontinued the line.

That's one of the several examples I was talking about earlier.

Maybe some specific colors of 08 Magnums like Hemi31 mentioned. Otherwise the '05 is by far the rarest of all - even including the limited edition numbered units.

That's crazy talk right there. I'm approaching the point to where I almost have to have a Challenger, but resale on our cars is just so bad right now I have to figure out how to afford it smartly while keeping the 300. Will wait a while for when the '09s start flooding the showrooms.
