I'm headed to Thailand this Tuesday for three weeks. I have a few things planned for my trip. We'll surely have a light work schedule. Things planned so far are: 1. unrestricted go-kart racing with sick engines and NO rules. 2. $5 dollar professional massages on the beach 3. seeing some Buddhist temples 4. shopping for trinkets for the family 5. working out 6. eating as much Thai cuisine as possible Any other suggestions?
I forget one GREAT part about being in the Navy is I "actually" get to see the world...and get paid while I'm doing it. Mains, has probably made it to Lubbock, Legmaker has made at least one interstate cross country trip, Momo, has made the leap from Buffalo to San Diego...with a jaunt to Hawaii, and diegochrysler has been from Tijuana to San Diego a few times. Ron has probably seen the armpits of the world while in the army. Hal.....where you at buddy. I know YOU at least have a lack of morals that can guide my innocent soul in the right direction.
I spent three months there in 2004....not ONE pic was taken....thank God! We'll see how many make it back to the states for this trip. I'd like to think I'm more mature with age! LOL
Look for the Budda either called "Laying" or "Sleeping Budda". It is solid gold and is the largest Budda. If you like HOT food you will love Thai. It has way more textures tha just Hot. It is hot sweet, sour all in one. Their whole fried fish dishes in chili sauce are great, not to mention the crab and giant prawns. For desert try the Tapioca with Cocunut cream milk on it....to die for. I could go on and on. I spend about a month a year (at one time) in Singapore and have made a couple of weekend trips to Bankok and Phuket.
You are the one I need to get travel tips from. I've had the whole fish with chili sauce....awesome! I'll be in Bangkok and Pattayia.

if you can, go to Pattaya beach...I had a ball there!! they have a lot of those buyme drink me girls but besides that the real kickboxing is down there, the clubs are live and you'll see some THINGS you will never see again, check out the Eel show, lol and dont eat anything thats chocolate covered, I learned the hard way damn I wanna go back
