I have talked to alot of you guys hemi31, jmatt,1bad4dr, eddie @ sh, dan aka flybyu for the first initial batch of mods... it turned out as this... 180 thermo, corsa exhaust, afe stage 2 intake, nos kit, and pred/custom tune from steve @ rdp.... im curious from everyone that has taken the mod heaven road... what the next steps would be if you were in my shoes ? heads/cam ? tq converter ? s/c kit ? thanks all i value everones opinion and cant wait to hear ideas thrown in !
Predator? Where's the Predator?? Then I'd go just like you listed ... heads/cam, TC, s/c. Whatever you do plan ahead, see a goal for how you want your car and plan accordingly so you don't waste money redoing things (yes, I speak from experience, doh!).
lol too funny. Chess, if you do plan on a S/C in the future, start planning on at least forging the internals.
that is true... my question is it worth saving my pennies for rims and dr's ? since obviously i will have the power with spray but not the traction ?
definitely do the converter first and I wouldnt go over a 2800 stall. Make sure you order the stall based off of what hp/tq you will be making once your mods are complete otherwise you will be sending it back to get adjusted each time.
Absolutely. And as Scott said, might as well get some upgraded 1/2 shafts. I believe BMC and PPP are having a group buy on shafts?
Sounds like another one of those deals that's too good. I don't know why they don't let you guys sell a product for whatever you want to :censored: Eric
Our Group buy on halfshafts is still on http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/...ead.php?t=7433 As far as the other mods, I think everyone here has you headed in the right direction!
Torque converter. Do it. If I was starting over, I'd change out the torque converter before doing ANY other mod. It makes more seat-of-the-pants difference in feel than any other mod except a 125 shot or more.
what would you pick up in the 1/4 mile w/ a TC only? That "seat of your pants" feeling has to decrease your ET
