what blows me away is that what you think was done well is prob not. there is no way someone exp could screw the pooch as much as they have yet have a truly good tune out there. i dont run nearly the mods some of you folks do but i sure as hell would get my tune re-done if gsm did it and is now having so many issues come up.

Again, sorry to hear about this Mach4, I posted on the OC but I'm gonna post here.

I think the bottom line is plain and simple ... money. You being a nice guy they tried to take advantage of you, I really don't see any need to mess with the TC when you're just removing a supercharger other than to make more money for them. Maybe if you had said change my TC back to stock ok, but you didn't. Plus the fact that THEY brought it up when you got there doesn't bode well either. Quick is right, always get a written estimate but that doesn't always work (they can still say you need this or you need that later). I'm like you Mach, I like to treat people/businesses with kindness and respect and get treated the same way in return. I think they took advantage of your kindness for money and it's stupid.

I just don't get why. For business purposes it's much healthier to keep a large client base and keep them happy then to screw someone for a few extra bucks once but loose them as a customer altogether. Really stupid. GSM has been a good company in the past (as Ron will atest to) but apparently things have changed and it's good to know.

    Good luck with everything Mach!

I would like to know what the tune problem was. My car is doing great but I know there is always a chance it can do better. The air/fuel is dead on. 492rwhp ponies and 511rwtq. The dyno doesn't lie.

dont get me wrong dude, i believe that you believe it to be done well. i cant help from thinking that it can be done better though. but at the end of the day its your car, your money and your decision.

Ron posted up on that. From what I gathered it seems his tune was done to the wrong map sensor? Map sensor in the car had a sticky label part number on it that could have been a 3 bar sensor. Tune was done on that and scaled it down to a 2 bar. Peel off the sticky label and the part number underneath was for a 2 bar sensor. So the tune was actually scaling that down (to a 1 bar?).

Question is how the part and label thing happened. Could have been done at GSM for some reason but not likely. I'd think it more likely that maybe GSM might be getting parts from a less than reputable supplier? Wild speculation on my part. My personal opinion is that it just doesn't sound like someone or a shop who's main intention is to rip people off or scam them. What it does sound like is very disorganized, sloppy, unprofessional work. Sort of like an after thought or some distraction from something else. Like when my kids do their chores. Or someone with an alcohol or drug problem running a business.

Agreed, probably more incompetence than malicious intent but the bottom line is the same, he got screwed. He should have NEVER had to pay $500 for a Predator and tune to go back to stock tho, that was just wrong. Even GSM isn't that incompetent, it was a rip off plain and simple.

    Hey Trevor,

    Lets get your story straight

    1. We simply removed your supercharger kit that had been on for about a year "as you requested"

    2. We did not touch any part of your bell housing, exhaust or starter, so if you torque converter was loose ...it was loose when you came in and after nearly a year I would question how and why and could not point to install error as if a converter was loose for a year and 20,000 miles ..?

    3. The setrab heat exchanger you saw in your box was part of the Supercharger intercooler kit and we did not remove your oil cooler period

    4. We advised you of the diablo tuner being available and we installed, tuned and supplied a nice dyno sheet ....as requested...we did not use a diablo to return your vehicle to stock, your tuner has a custom cmr tune...!

Your Statements dont make any sense

You have decided to post something that is , False and mis-leading

over something that is not any fault of GSM Period.!

I trust Ronnie's judgement :worthy::worthy::worthy: But Ron if your really that pissed why is he still a vendor here ?

GSM- a member of the site has an issue please call him and rectify this situation and address his concerns...I doubt he is simply making some Shit up to make you look bad...After doing some reading you have a track record that seems to rival John Hennessy and we all know my Love for that Douche bag...Please don't be a Hennessey and man up and do the right thing and take care of business..

I am simply stating the facts, We did what the customer asked

I have called the customer with no response, and also sent a pm

The customer experienced loose torque converter bolts....and I am the bad guy nearly 1 year later....?

The customer dosent know the difference and sees a setrab in a box and claims we removed his oil cooler, we did not.

The customer also stated he wanted to retain some of the performance and defiantly wanted the car to be tuned...so we did what was approved and the tuner clearly has a custom tune with a dyno sheet....I dont know how that could be construed as we were selling him something to return his jeep back to stock.

Not trying to point any fingers at anyone

If the customer dosent want the tuner we would be happy to refund his money

Since he does not appear to be on to respond to this personally..I would like to find out from your perspective why if you say you did all he wanted..What his motive could possibly be to make up a story then...Cause it smells fishy to me.

Yet another sales pitch to take the blame off of your wrong doing!

    Enough already.

Oh, if you supposedly called and PM'd him yesterday, why did Trevor and I have a lengthy conversation yesterday?

Seems to me that Trevor was very much available yesterday, AND patiently WAITING for you to return his calls.

Hmmm I don't remember seeing you return MY email from yesterday morning about my brake line mishap either.

The only time I have heard from Scott is when he wanted something, I do not think he has responded to even one of my questions. I am not saying I am just saying... ya know what I am saying.

Scott, be advised that we have stood by you through alot of bad mouthing, we have eaten enough crow. Now I do believe it is time to return the favor and resolve the outstanding issues.

Ok Scott now I'm pissed. I'm going to consult with some influencial people and be back on here later to hopefully un-F*** you for the last time. I may not be a car buff and know all of the ends and outs but I am a member of an elite automotive investigative team. Maybe you saw the sticker on my front windsheild when replacing pillar pod? Probably not. I tried to talk via PM after you message'd me to keep this hush hush but you wanted to wave your A**.
Bottom line, I was told a price over the phone with you and given another by Dan. I never requested a Dyno sheet, just my car back as close to factory settings as possible. The SC kit left your shop with 3k+ miles on my GC SRT and returned with 10.5
The TC was also fine when I entered GSM and upon leaving for my damn fourth of July weekend...I experienced a BS ride home full of rattleing. I don't blame you for being so pissed, I would too if everyone thought I was a crook.

This is my last and final reply to this thread. I posted on here to find out everyone's thoughts as to what may have happened @ GSM. Maybe something or maybe nothing but according to some heavy hitting members...it seemed as if I got taken advantage of. It also seems that many others felt the same way about their own rides.
In b/t this post and my last I found out from family that my dad is doing worse and so now I must put forth effort to comfort my family. As long as my vehicle doesn't blow up, I'll still check in but am not responding to any more GSM message's as I do not need anymore chaos in my life. If I am targeted due to my last post it will not be a wise move and I strongly suggest people backing the hell off. Much love to all that helped in this matter and best of luck to any that disagreed.
