I wasnt going but changed my mind and went up late. I was running with just a tad over 1/2 tank of 91....I hate that. I usually run low tank with 100.

    1st run.... 60'-1.67....330'[email protected]

    2nd run.... 60'-1.64....330'[email protected]

Well last nite was terrible the DA was at 2500 ft at 5pm and 1853 at at 9pm.
I made 4 runs 2 were ok last to i had a problem with the JEEP shutting off at about 150 ft b4 the finish line but the engine was still running but like at idle and my foot was to the floor and Alex and his buddy said my brake lites came on at that time and as i was slowing down it ran fine back to the pits. We fig it was the abs/tc acting up as i had the abs/pump fuse pulled as i allways do. Well heres my 2 runs. After putting the fuse back in it ran fine on the way home and this morning with (abs fuse in) and t/c on i made 2 runs just like i was at the track and it pulled strong to 110 mph and didnt shut down so i guess it was the abs/tc acting up with the fuse out.
    RUN 1
    DA........2500 FT.......CORRECTED TO SEA LEVEL
    60'.......1.822
    330'.....5.367
    1/8......8.370..................8.13
    MPH.....81.81.................84.16
    RUN 2
    DA.......2219 FT
    60'......1.785 BEST EVER
    330'.....5.323
    1/8......8.308..................8.09
    MPH.....82.13.................84.20

We ran a 8.44 at 80 mph at 8:19 in a QCSB Truck. Spartan Cam and Inertia heads.

BTW I drove Stanko's Jeep Last night. That thing Is Crazy Fast.

    DA Correction

The track is 780' above sea level- check "TRACK FACTS"!
    http://www.na-motorsports.com/Tracks/CA/Irwindale.html

You need to change the date to July 10, 2008
    http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KCAIRWIN1&month=7&day=10&year=2008

    We use this Density Calculator...
    http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_da.htm

It appears that Jims math is actually low for the DA that night.

    1700/5:00pm = 2996' above sea level
    1800/6:00pm = 2861' above sea level
    1900/7:00pm = 2673' above sea level
    2000/8:00pm = 2506' above sea level
    2100/9:00pm = 2328' above sea level

The City is only 9 square miles of rock quarry and the track sits at the highest point of that dump.

The point is that your DA readings were in the ballpark if not pretty accurate. It seems that "proudhemi" is not using the same method to figure DA or is looking at the wrong day.

    Reading Comprehension

"NOT TO BE AN ASS".......but the weather site you are referring to in your post, is clearly noted for the Downtown area of Los Angeles.....NOT IRWINDALE!

If you slow down and read POST#11....again "not to be an ass", you would have observed... it clearly is for I w i n d a l e. If you need us Jeep guys to help you 1500 Truck guys read military time let us know.

Talk about making something complicated!! :dumb:
