Hello All ~ Just found this site, after infrequently visiting the SRT8 and Custom Dodge Magnum forums. Looking to upgrade my bone stock MSRT8 over the course of the next year. Just ran it on the Dyno at Auto Tek in Austin, TX with the following results: Max Power = 346.05 @ 6000 RPM Max Torque = 338.59 @ 4800 RPM Planning on upgrading the strength and looks of the car first, then moving on to other improvements in modules focused on maximum gains. Module 1: Ram Air carbon fiber hood, Viper-look 22" comp grey wheels, leather console cover and 1000 HP Half shafts. Module 2: Torque converter, further drive train strengthening and lower rear end gears (if available - Haven't seen any yet). Module 3: Loudmouth SLP catbacks, Arrington 90mm Throttle Body and Air Hammer intake Module 4a: Supercharger OR Module 4b: 426 Stroker AND Supercharger Any suggestions, (ESPECIALLY from those of you who have already done any of these mods!) will be GREATLY welcome. Best wishes to one and all and I look forward to future discussions here on the board!
Welcome glad to have you here..............there are many people on here that can help you with just about anything.
welcome to the big C! i would go after the CAI, diablo then catback option myself. a great bang for your buck and will make you fall back in love with the ride each time you turn the ignition.
Welcome to the C from TN.....looks like you are starting out right with your mods...strengthen then power.....if you dont go the stroker route with the supercharger you should still get the bottom end forged before blowing...wouldnt cost that much more to stroke..
Let me add - I'm an ACCELERATION guy, as opposed to a TOP SPEED guy... Therefore, I like TORQUE - A LOT!
And you are still slow. lol Welcome Johnny D. Thanks for your support as well. If you have the $, then the list you have is a great start. If you want loads of power and torque, Stroke that motor, add a Twin Screw (A few should be available in the upcoming months), or you could get with DynoSteve from RDP for a Roots Blower now. Then, if you are still dissatisfied, add a nice 125 shot to the monster. hehe Check your PM box.
I'm definitely interested in a stroker motor, but leaning toward buying a crate motor outright and modding it, then dropping my stock 6.1 into an older car (or truck - Like a 57 or 58 Sweptline - Yeah, BABY!) as a separate project. Totally NOT interested in nitrous, as I want the final build to be "bullet-proof " strong and dependable. Thanks for the fine welcome, y'all!
